The face could look better, but I love the resemblance to his G1 self.

One problem with your question/statement, is that you assume the last time Japan had tanks was 60 years ago.

They currently have not only an army, but a navy and air force as well.
Here is some info on their army, and its current makeup:

As for his vehicle mode, looks to me like its a modified Type 90.

This figure is made of 100% pure awesome, with a side order of complete win.

I am just desperate to find his release date.

I checked Entertainment Earth for new assortments yesterday once our story posted and nothing yet. But the new sublines typically start trickling out in December and hit saturation in January/February. If you're budgeting, plan for that. We should see online retailer pre-orders within six weeks that will name a month.

I think the face has a couple of layers, it may even be a helmet!

That'd be neat if it were removable, but I doubt it =/

I wonder if he's got any light-piping and how well it is.

    +10 Awesome Points.

Sounds about right. I've noticed it often taking three months time, but I'd gladly take two instead. However, I'm betting all my money (read: $6.58) that it'll be sighted in stores by Christmas.

I really wish Voyagers came with a voice chip. "Fool! Your clumsy box-opening is almost slow motion to a master of Metallikato!" Looks pretty damn awesome even if he isn't a pirate.

I'm not sure if I will be picking this one up. It's essentially a Universe mold that didn't get put into Universe, but we'll see.

That head art looks really wonky....I STILL want to see some better High Res shots of the actual toy's head from a couple angles. I'll get it no matter what but I'm thinking I may try my hand at swapping out a different head.

I like it too. Just wish it the skull would open up for a reveal of a robot face.

I'm really anxious to see Brawn, Skysktalker and Mindwipe now.

Yeah. I'm SUPAH ESCITED for Bludgeon, but I really want to get a clear look at Mindwipe as well. I was drawing my own bayverse Mindwipe the night before SDCC. I couldn't believe it when they announced him.

Maybe you could sketch a quick Leader Blackout/Grindor before the next convention. :lol

I'm excited for Mindwipe as well, even more so than Bludgeon. I wanted him on sight. Skystalker too, especially becuase of the combining gimmick, and Brawn looks awesome.
