Well, I finally found some of this stuff at a gas station by my grandparents. I'm always told that the stuff is the best, and that I had to try it. So I got a bottle and drank it. What's the big deal? It doesn't taste that much different from regular Pepsi. Maybe it's because I like Coke more, but this just doesn't seem like anything special to me.
Mind sending a bottle to me? I've been searching for nearly two months and have yet to find a single can or bottle.
I haven't even been able to find the Mountain Dew Throwback! I'm sure it's all not that much different from the current formula they use for Pepsi and Mountain Dew.
If you want to know how it tastes, imagine regular Pepsi but just a LITTLE sweeter. I really wish I bought Mountan Dew Voltage. If anything, the Pepsi-Cola label is cool.
I tried it. Compared it to regular Pepsi. It just went flat sooner, and gave me a sugar high... and gas... it wasn't a very pleasant experience...
I drank one and it didn't impress me. I heard that it wouldn't have an after-taste, but after drinking it half-way through, it started tasting nasty, and I threw it away. In full disclosure though, I am a Coke drinker. Pepsi sucks generally.
I found a bigger difference in Mountain Dew Throwback than Pepsi Throwback. And Hiraga, Voltage isn't new. It's been around for a while. Ultra Violet is the newest Mountain Dew flavor.
the Pepsi Throwback is kinda different casue it as a little bit more suger in it but u don't taste it till the end. trust me i drink a lot of pepsi and i know the flavor of ever pepsi
the only difference between the throw backs and the current versions of dew and pepsi is the throw backs use real sugar and not corn syrup
Even Crystal and Kona? Hmm? And yes, I'm a Pepsi drinker and have had the Throwback, it's a little better, IMO, casual drinkers won't be able to tell the difference, it's that much of a change
I was on a quest for Pepsi Throwback when they came out earlier in the summer, I believe. Still got some sitting in my garage. Personally, I prefer Coca Cola with sugar, which I had plenty of in my recent trip to the UK. High fructose corn syrup FTMFL.
Mountain Dew Throwback definitely drinks smoother than regular Dew. The difference between the Pepsi's is a little less noticeable.
I say a guys review on YouTube of the stuff and walked on down to the Gas Station and looked. Nothin' So, I just bought a littler of the regular Pepsi. I gave up the search after that. The next day I got a 64 oz. Coke. I like Coke. Far superior to Pepsi. To bad the vending machines in my school only have Pepsi products.
Throwback? whatever. the closest thing to an actual throwback IMO, is finding the old coke machines that dispense the Coke in glass bottles. that is as good as it gets. well, there is a convenience store/Lotto ticket seller just across the state line that carries Coca Cola from Mexico in glass bottles. it uses cane sugar instead of Fructose. THAT is old skool Coke.
Same here. After I drink corn soda the inside of my mouth feels like there is a film coating the inside, I don't get that with sugar soda. If you are still looking for the Throwbacks the program is over as far as I know and it's unlikely you'll find anywhere that still has it in stock.
