YouTube - The Princess and the Frog (2009) - Official Trailer #3 [HD] After years of cheap sequel cash-ins & crappy CGI productions, Disney FINALLY goes back to basics!!!! s:
That looks loads better than all the other Disney princess-oriented movies. Simply because it isn't chauvinistic, and that gay villain looks like the best frakking part of the movie. I can't believe I might go see this...unless it's another Enchanted.
All those crappy movies Disney has put out in recent years, I can justify them only if all the money made from them went into making this movie. Seriously, the trailers for this latest "Princess" movie are more entertaining than all the High School Musical crapfests put together!
The animation is amazingly good, and the music sounds very catchy. It's good to see Disney putting out quality product like this again.
Whta justifies you calling the villain gay, I mean, really? there's nothing about this villain that suggests gay. What? seiously, do you people know what is and isn't racist? I'll help explain A tasteful representation of vintage New Orleans = Not racist. Two stupid robots in a movie directed by Michale Bay = Racist beyond anything. And personally I'm thrilled for this movie, I'm an animation fan and I'm glad Disney is getting back onto animated features.
Take a very good look at him, then tell me he isn't a little suspect. Meet Dr. Facilier thanks to Cartoon Brew | Atomic Bear Press It was more of a joke though, take it easy.
I'm honestly neutral about this movie so far, and looking forward more to Rapunzel (if it ever gets finished) because Glen Keane is my animation hero. As far as The Princess and the Frog is concerned, I'm hoping it'll be a commercial success just so we'll see more interest in tradition hand-animated theatrical features again. I've got no beef with the CG stuff, it's just that 2D animation has an art and storytelling style all its own.
This really looks superb. Nice rounded lines, and it very much draws from the 50's style of animation. Very smooth, super detailed, and the movement extremely fluid. If this does not kick in the doors of box offices and make off with every cent in the house, then today's moviegoers have lost all hope.
