You just stirred the hornet's next, bra. Yeah, I forgot about Light Crusader, and of course, Gunstar Heroes, but seriously, if you have a 360 or PS3, it's better to just own that on there.
to Smasher: there was no 4th streets of rage game, did you mean 3? i know u don't want racers or sports games, but i'm putting here anyway for anyone else. here's my list: sonic 2, sonic 3, sonic and knuckles (locking 3 and knuckles gives the ultimate sonic game), streets of rage 2 and 3 (both good for different reasons), ecco the dolphon 2 tides of time, NBA jam, road rash 2, mortal kombat 2 (it's all about the blood baby), xmen 2 clone wars, toejam and earl, sunset riders, gunstar heroes
ha ur right about that. but nba jam and road rash play better on genesis anyway, as does mortal kombat with the actual blood (if ur into that)
Beyond Oasis! I'm assuming it was probably said pretty early in the thread but I have fond memories of this.
Since everyone's ignoring the no platformers thing, so will I. Ranger X (6-button controller needed) Alien Soldier (Only available on virtual console)
Well, the OP's request specifies particular genres, so despite the threads name, it isn't a "Your favorite Genesis game" thread. ... if it were though, I have to stand by Sonic 2.
I've been thinking about this for a couple of days and a couple games really stand out for me most notably Vectorman but i'm gonna go with a totally different choice knowing how much time it took up and was the best party game ever to hit the console. Micro Machines 2: Turbo Tournament '96 Make your own tracks & upto 4 players at once, it was a blast and can only guess it still would be to play today.
