I am interested in a small (13") laptop that uses two hard drives. Does anyone have one of these, or know of a model like this? Any help is appreciated!!!

I have an Acer Netbook that has an internal drive and then I use an external drive for most of my files. I'd imagine it's the same concept, except internal? I bought some velcro for my external drive and just attached it to the top of the computer, very handy and very portable.

You probably won't find one - capacities have gotten to the point where you can get a 500 GB notebook drive, and then partition it from there. Furthermore, because the companies that produce notebooks intentionally keep them as small and light as possible, putting two hard drives in a computer of this kind (a) kills the thin form factor and (b) creates a much higher drain on the battery.

Now, what you might be able to find is a notebook that uses both a SSD drive AND a HDD. That's feasible.

I've gone from desktop to laptop totally, to the point of selling the desktop because I did not use it anymore. I am hoping to build a tiny little monster that would have 1TB of storage by putting two 500GB drives on RAID :)  I know some larger laptops have this ability, but I am hoping to find one no larger than 15".

Hm...so, again, I can't help you with finding a notebook that'll do that. With whichever one you buy, however, make sure you get 7200RPM 2.5" HDDs, to ensure you get the same level of drive performance as from your desktop. They have a slight premium, but they are definitely worth it.

I think you didn't read the original post nor the question raised. I think you can join the others...in that special place.

Thanks for the multiple suggestions about external hard drives, but that is just not what I am looking for. That requires lugging around another piece of equipment that is not neatly part of the laptop. I may just wait for one of the 1TB 2.5" drives that are coming soon. I hear one is currently going into production by one of the major HDD makers.

Well, you can get external USB powered drives that are pretty slim and light. Only problem it that it'll eat a USB port.
