Not new to these forums but I ususally read and don't post. I figured since I have taken so much info from here I would share some WIP that may be helpful for future combiner builders! 1. Get threaded rod and T-nut with prongs 2. Get your welder ready. YOU DO HAVE A WELDER DON"T YOU!?! 3. Weld T-nut on the end and grind weld flat. I took a little more off the end to make it thinner. 4. grind the prongs so that they are the same height as the plastic that fits into the channel inside the waist. 5. drill a hole in center of Unicrons lower torso. 6. Put rod through hole until prongs touch plastic at the bottom of the torso. 7. HEAT WITH A SOLDERING IRON SLOWLY AND EVENLY SO THAT THE PRONGS MELT INTO THE PLASTIC AND BOTTOM OF T-NUT IS FLUSH. Too fast and the plastic that goes into the channel in the waist will melt and warp and not fit back into the channel properly. 8. Dremmel a little out of the bottom of the waist where the T-nut will be sitting when you re-assemble. 9. Re assemble. 10. Vioa la. Rotating devy waist!
thats brillant im doin my first custom and teaching myself how to do joints and its been hard trying to find stuff like this
