    Left field question: What is the version of Super Mario that came out recently (last 4 years?) that is almost just an update of original Super Mario Brothers? Was it SMB Advance for the GBA? Or something else?

    Follow up, is there a Mario collector's disc similar to the Zelda Collector's disc that has multiple SMB games on it for the Gamecube?

    New Super Mario Brothers on the DS.

    And no Mario compilations on anything other than the SNES as far as I am aware :(

    DS cart aren't Backward compat to the GBA adapter for the 'cube are they?

    (sorry to pepper with questions, the wife is laid up at home on bed rest for a while, so I'm getting her a 'cube bundle cheap to play some nintendo games she'll like, but i'm not 100% on what the best route is...)

    Yea for the GBA they released Super Mario Bros. the classic version. Everything about it was exactly the same as the original.

    Sorry, not a chance. You've gotta have a DS or a DSi (or at least a really good emulator)

    the only collection of mario games is for the snes. super mario allstars. it has mario 1, 2, and 3, as well as the japanese mario 2 (lost levels). later versions also included super mario world.

    You're thinking Super Mario DX for the GB Color I think... the GBA got a lot of ports/updates for other Mario games though.
