Wow, you must really like the TF game to call it you're baby.  

 

Great. Now I have to wait till I get home from work this evening to check it out. Hope it doesn't take too long to download! So why is it available a week early?

 

I'd be very surprised if it was actually available. This is either;

a) a genuine bugfix patch.

b) the pre-patch for the DLC, everyone gets it, when the store is updated with the related gubbins you buy and it's a very small "key" download that lets you play with it.

I got an update for the 360 version too.
Only differences I can see are you can now change your character between rounds, the little headshot pictures are next to your name/score at the end of each round.
I haven't seen anything else different of note.

Of course, but when everyone is going on about a DLC, and with the understanding that people have different ways of saying things (I have heard many people call updates to the game's content referred to as "patching" before), I wasn't the only to think that we might have had an early release.   It would have been nice, since next week is going to be a struggle between this and Batman.

 

Yep, got the update for the 360 too. Probably both preparing the game for the DLC and fixing minor bugs. Also added that switch character feature, which is a good call, IMO.

But I'm back to playing MP. I missed this game so much. I was playing as Protectobot downtown and next thing you know Long Haul pulls up next to me and trys pushing me.

I love things like that.

 

Yeah, I'm really glad these guys made the effort to take this game beyond what we had in 07. It shows.

 

Got an update, too. I dunno 'bout you guys, but I could always switch characters during multiplayer, I just had to wait until I died before the change took place.

The only change I noticed from the update is the little headshots next to your name once the match ends.

 

Yeah you could always change character during a match but now you can do it when the round ends, you push up or down and the headshot picture changes to whoever you want to play as.

 

You can do it in between rounds now. When a round ends, you have a picture of the bot you were using. Now you can choose a new bot or con for the complete list before the next round starts.

Interesting I'll have to try this out later today. That's a nice little update.

 

I cannot, for the life of me, get to grips with the multiplayer in this game at all, I seem to find myself riddling fellas with my guns only to be taken out in twice the time  

Any tips? I wanna enjoy this game without gettin my arse handed to me the whole time.

 

If you new to this game, don't let it get to you. In the beginning you get royally owned but you'll get the hang of it.

Remember to use your advanced jumps, dodges and specials and also remember, buildings are your friends.
