I would guess Transformers fans since if you made it for Transformers fans then you don't have to worry about scale since we are used to the scale being off to get a good price point.

If you made it for Joe fans then you get into the scale issue because they would have to be large enough to fit GI Joe figures and most of the GI Joe and Cobra vehicles are bigger than the deluxe sized Transformers figures so cost starts to become an issue.

Fitting Joe figures inside also brings up engineering problems since you have to make it where you can't just shove parts into the drivers or pilots compartment because that room would be needed for an action figure.

Or at least that's my best guess.

LOL....my roommate would love that (HUGE Robotech fan)

This is a very interesting figure. Even from back in the day when Wheeljack first mentioned to Spike about making him a suit that transforms into a motorcycle, I've been wanting it. Now fortunately, we have one in way of GI Joe.

it would have to be done with the Joes as mini-figures like the Star Wars Transformers had when they started, then you could do Deluxe/Ultra scale TF figs.

Trying to do it with 3-3/4" Joes would just be either too expensive or too limited (i.e. only motorcycle and jeep sized vehicles)

i really want Don's Rolling Thunder Prime and the DDP Night Raven Starscream and Rattler Thundercracker....

    ....and a VAMP Hound...

    Man I want that bad.

Needs a few tweaks though for sleakness, but hey for the the first versions this is perfect. I'm sure it'll evolve in time as characters like Mainframe, Snake Eyes, Scarlet, Lady Jay, and Jynx get ahold of their own. Oh man, I pray to god they do Scarlet and Lady Jay in a BubbleGum Crisis meets centurions meets Inhumanoids style with a bike.

Awesome work Hasbro! These would also be sweet over in transformers too with protoform like riders. ;)

Man this just gives me so much hope for a Centurions Inhumanoids Revival. BubbleGum Crisis really defined the age of non-flying accel suits so this has me all kinds of kit bash ideas tumbling around. =D

Wonder if I could even tweak it enough for an X-23 one.

SOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED! Now the sucky part. The wait. T_T

As for the joe transformer debate. It'd be pretty simple for them to do some like Oil Slick in animated, or the armadillo, or serpentor's chariot at TF crossovers or deluxe price. Even the snowcat, and green thing like it, would be roughly ultra price point. The planes though, yeah would be insane. Hisstanks could be done at ultra price though. Just the massive ones would be like leader to ultimate BB prices, or even devastator prices. But then you have to factor in the cost of the joe figure, and it comes out to at least 6-7 bucks on top of the TF pricepoint. Human Alliance for example. And that's even with scaling them down from joe scale.

Deluxes like that would be 20-30
    ultras would be 40-50
    Leaders at 50-60
and ultimate upwards of 95 or higher.
That's part of the issue to it. Who would pay those kinds of prices for them regularly? Though I probably would on the deluxe's to be honest. Bikes and riders are just one of my bias's though. And interconnectivity like this shows is just awesome. And if they limit the 'ultra' scale to just a base 2 or 3 with color variants galore or even bot mode head variants galore. Hisstanks of different bot heads, or green snowcats, white snowcats, etc. Keep the mold count low but high reuse to push sales of them.
But those are my thoughts on joe tf stuff.

But man if this bike speaks of what the future may hold on both sides of the combat, I can't wait to see what destro does to his bike, or Baroness to hers or even storm shadow, let alone as I said, scarlet, Jynx, Lady Jay and snake eyes.
    POWER EXTREME!

Well, to me they are nothing more than Mospeada or 'Robotech' Cyclone Armour copies/rip offs:

Except, the Joe bike doesn't require any biology defying telescoping boots. It's not like Mospeada is the only show to have motorcycle mechs. Bubblegum Crisis also had bikes that connected to the characters' armor. I think Megazone 23 had variable bikes, too. There's a guy on the Macross forums working on an entire site dedicated to transforming motorcycles.

Meh. Another "power loader" type thing. Looks "realistic" but it doesn't look cool. I'll stick with the motorcycle armour. :)
