yes thats right its been confirmed that world famous director Steven Spielberg who brought us so many great movies over the years is in negotiations to direct an adaption of eric nylund's bestselling book HALO:fall of reach, i found it here IESB Exclusive: Master Chief and HALO May Be Coming to the Big Screen Sooner than Expected with a New Big Name Producer there is also tidbits on the title of possible sequels for the movie, HALO: rise of the Flood. wasnt too sure to post this in the movies and tv section but since its halo i thought i would post it here.
...Aw, crap. Look, Spielberg, you've made your fair share of good AND bad movies, but please...don't direct the Halo movie. At the very least, get Sam Raimi, Chris Nolan, or, hell, even Peter Jackson to direct.
I prefer Steve as a producer. Maybe get someone else to actually direct it. Still, I'm interested if only to see how they adapt the story to a movie, but does anyone really give a crap about Halo anymore?
Maybe because they're basing it off the book and not the game it'll be better? Who knows. It'll be neat to see what it looks like anyway. That just tells me that they're making a new game. I hardly ever hear about the game anymore.
Yup, so I really hope hey don't Street Fighter it. Halo has A LOT of potential to be a great movie... but then again, so did other games.
