Impossible toys isn't the greatest but they still have decent products. Originally their items were priced kind of high. I think when the first quint hit most places were around $50. That's not bad but with all the new contenders in the 3rd party production of unofficial TF stuff they needed to be less expensive. So now you can find them at $20 or so, not bad.

Quality has been a little iffy on them. The several I have, have either sticky paint or just a bad paint job. The paint problems can easily be fixed with a little touch up though. Their stuff is production ran and not garaged manufactured. Impossible's items have very clean lines and excellent features to them. Garage kits usually suffer from poor lines and other production problems in their molds.

I'd say Impossible toys has a good future in store if they can keep the price down and put a little more effort into their paint apps.

I'm looking forward to this G1 arcee and nightbird. I'm loving their toon accurate sentinel!

Give the guy a break he's one guy working out of his garage. I know alot of people don't like him personally but he's done some amazing stuff for one guy. Sure his stuff suffers garageitis but most of us here could not do what he has done.

Impossible toys, TFA , Igear and all those others are groups or businesses that are based overseas have a huge advantage. They all have the facilities to get stuff done right at their fingertips. I would hope they do a better job than a single guy in a garage. If Rabid lived overseas right next to all the cheap labor and factories I'm sure his stuff would probably be higher quality too.

LOL- tell me that after you buy a kit from him. It wouldn't be so bad if he didn't charge $500 for an unassembled pile of ill-fitting junk, but he he seems to think his stuff is so awesome it deserves insane prices.

I have yet to see him do anything "amazing" (other than the fact that he keeps producing). I've seen other garage kits and parts that were 1/4 the price and 10x the quality.

Funny because at cybcon his kits were like $50 or $60. I know if I was going to drop $500 on a garage kit I'd would have researched about the quality of the kit before buying it at that price.

Some of his prices might be insane but he's sold out of them at that, so who's more insane the seller or the buyer? A lot of time, money and research goes into what he did. With a small run the price would be up there to cover all of that, not unusual in the garage model industry.

Griff is releasing his second HOS Prime under his group, Master Mind Creation. It will be called Knight Morpher Commander. Preorders are up. This Arcee figure is being made by Impossible Toys.

We'll see if this actually comes out. Its one thing for a company to release accessory sets for toys. Its another to make a transforming toy of one of Hasbro's characters. Even if Hasbro has no intention of releasing a G1 Arcee, they have to protect their intellecual property & will probably stop this from being released. The best thing Impossible Toys can do is get a sub license from Hasbro so they can legally make this.

Griff created both. The first one he sold to Hal, including all rights for it. Then Griff made a second version from scratch, along with improvements and changes. That version is being used for the mass release.

Sorry for straying off so kindly put up with me while I try to clarify something.

Vensta, I was talking to one of the Mods from SGCollect 3 days back & he said the rights for HOS Prime was never sold 100%.

I was so told that the Originator still has "access" to that mold & he can actually work/improve/modify from what he'd came out with in the first place. SGC dude affirmed that piece of information because they ran a MO for HOS-01 so I'm guessing it could be some insider news they heard first hand or something. That leaves me feeling :confused2

    Now, which is which??

That was the story I heard from a friend, who is connected to the groups. Interesting to hear this news. Maybe that is why Hal didn't make a fuss over the MMC HOS Prime, since Griff had some rights to still make one?
