I got to the same conclusion, of course. But that wasn't presented in the film itself. You could also say that they compromised their disguises on arrival, and then only wanted to be left alone, and it would be as valid a conclusion as yours.

    Around $200 million.

So I went back and watched the movie again for a second time, and i've come to the conclusion (this is just me) that Devatators head is not made up of mixmaster, but rather Overload. I think it makes the most sense because the entire face is red, and you can see parts of the cab hanging right below his head as well. There might be a bit of mixmaster in there, nto sure what really happens to him, its hard to tell without being able to watch it over and over, like someone who has a bootleg copy would. I've seen the movie twice now, and basically viewed it 1 month apart :p

    what do you guys think?

    hi guys...

I have seen the movie..and seeing or hearing other
viewers comment son the movie, they'd really got
lots of hatred on it... but for me, i love it..
some says that it has an imperfect plot, but for me..
it's good..and as long as we are happy about the outcome
of the movie, then better not mind others critics..
besides, we all have different views on that thing..
    and i respect their insights...

hoping that there's still a sequel for that movie..hopefully..!

Oh, there will be a sequel. I have no doubt. ROTF made more money than its budget in the first 5 days, and it's getting close to making 4 times its budget in worldwide boxoffice in the following days.

yes there has to be a red vehicle that makes the face, based on how much of the face is red. I guess Mixmaster is the neck.

Saw the movie twice, once at IMax. Loved it, thought the story was overall flawed. Thing I hated the most was a cast of 20+ new transformers, only 2 really had a huge role though (No real roles for Sideswipe and the Arcees? BAH!)

Overall I honestly wish they would make a movie with the animated serie's approach to the characters: Add humor and personality to each rather than one or two. I mean, I'd take Blitzwing any day over Long Haul, Mixmaster, etc. simply because he...uh, speaks. And still kicks butt.

In regards to the violent deaths of Sideways and Demolisher: The track record of letting Decepticons live has led to nothing but destruction. Cybertron is dead because of them, their first major offenses on Earth consisted of destroying a base (Blackout), hunting down survivors(Scorps), Brutally hunting down a human until he answered questions(Barricade), and an all-out battle in a city. Seeing as how Demolisher's reaction to NEST showing up was "Catch on surprise, destroy everything in sight, then get away", I'm pretty certain NEST had every right to chase after him and kill him. Sideways, guilty by association, was also a courier according to the toy bio, which means he probably had some info for other decepticons. Hunting him down? Probably a good idea too.

    Just a short question:

When Optimus talks to Sam at the cemetary, there is a "sarcophagus"-like stone plate.

I thought for a moment I read the name "Sarah Connor" on it... but when I realised that,
the following shots didn't give a clear view of the stone plate again.

So was it really Sarah Connor or just some other generic person named Connor?

I couldn't find any mentioning of this here or on imdb or via google, so I presume I was hallucinating or something. ;)

If anyone could proof this right or false, it would be great.

    Thanks.

Y'know, in a way, ROTF reminds me of a James Bond movie.

    You have:

    -Hammy acting.
    -Good looking women.
-Great stunts and a lot of action.
    -Heroes with neat gadgets/gimmicks.
-Villains with a death ray and world conquest in mind.

That, to me, makes it even cooler.

And here's a question for the fans who say "Those aren't MY Transformers"...aren't they? Folks compare these movies to G1 and say how they don't measure up, etc.

    Well, let's break it down...

"The movie was silly, stupid for most of the time, and was badly acted."
G1 was silly, stupid for most of the time, and was badly acted.

"You couldn't even tell who was who in some of the fight scenes!"
Well, animation errors are part of what gives G1 it's infamy among the fans, and at the very least...ROTF will be on DVD and Blu-Ray and you can pause, rewind, etc to your heart's content. G1, the errors are stuck in there, forever.

The same complaints made against ROTF can and will be used against G1, and they should be. Before you say "Well, that's a Saturday morning cartoon, it's to be expected. We demand more out of a Hollywood film." Really? I don't think so, considering it's based on said Saturday morning cartoon, and they promised us a good time, not perfection.

If anyone could have a complaint, I'd say the Beast Wars/Beast Machines and Animated fans have a small right to complain about the movies. Animated and BW/BM raised the bar and proved that you could have action, comedy, camp, and intelligence in TF entertainment.

A return to G1 after all these years? I don't think so. It would be an injustice to good taste and the hope for better, for everyone.
