Online retailer XL Shop has listed RA13 Jetfire, RA14 Cannon Bumblebee, RA15 Mudflap, RA16 Dune Runner, RD11 Megatron, RD11 Mixmaster, RD13 Ravage and RD14 Scalpel in stock. This is our first look at most of these in package, with Jetfire having an extra sticker. This is also another confirmation that Takara's Cannon Bumblebees will sport clear windows.

They're being sold prematurely. Official release date is August 5.

 

Could be the lighting, could be my monitor, but uh...is it just me, or is the Japanese packing slightly brighter and more vibrant than our's here in the US?

I realize it's Hasbro stuff with a TakaraTomy sticker slapped on, but have the boxes been changed?

 

As far as I know, it's the same boxes. Any apparent differences are due to lighting.

are the clear windows on bumblebee a takara only thing or is it a varient like the darker sideways?

 

Variant. Has already been found in the US too.

Just like the running change variant for '07 Bumblebee (sculpted eye pupils, additional tabs on the hip panels) was initially misbelieved to be a "Takara variant" rather than a "running change Hasbro variant released straight away in Japan".

 

Who cares. It's the same stuff we already have, with a different label on the box.

I guess the leader class assortment with jetfire isn't going to fluctuate too well in most stores due to sales . I haven't found myself a jetfire yet either which sucks.

Well, I own the later Hasbro version (which is identical to the Takara version)...
