Or you could get the reprolabels upgrade set for Prime, as it makes him 10X cooler IMO and its cheaper than a voyager

 

What I dont get is why the 3 bike sisters werent designed and produced at the same time? As it seems this is the case and Flareup was designed long after Arcee and Chromia.

 

Hasbro has to pay licensing fees when a real alt-mode is involved, plain and simple, and that's the exact reason why Botcon, etc. will never be able to use the Alternators, Movie, etc. toys, because they cannot afford the licensing fees.

 

I've heard Reprolabels does some good work but I really don't want to do that right now.

I guess I should clarify what I want to do. When Wingblade Optimus Prime was said to be a remold of the Deluxe Earth mode I wanted to buy another Deluxe Cybertron version and two Wingblades so I could switch heads and have one Wingblade with the face plate and one without. Now that I know the armor works with the Voyager what I want to do is buy another Voyager and two Wingblades so I can have the following:

Original Voyager Optimus Prime
Wingblade Optimus Prime
Original Voyager Optimus Prime w/ armor from second Wingblade
Wingblade Optimus Prime without armor

That's the plan right now anyway but that may change depending on how the newest Animated figures are released.

Being that Bludgeon has been stolen from a factory, that means he's being produced. Giving that the average time between seeing a stolen toy for the first time and then seeing it at retail for the first time is about 3-4 months, I'd put my guess for the release of at least him (and Jungle Ironhide, being Bludgeon's "wave rival" and such) at around October-November.

 

Soundwave wasn't the first thing I thought of when I saw Mindwipe, but now that it's been mentioned, it fits nicely. It'd be really cool if they did, at some point, repaint him as Soundwave. Especially if they gave him a similar paint job to the Deluxe Soundwave figure. I think the gray would make a better main color than the traditional Soundwave blue, and they could still work it in as a secondary color on the robo-parts and stuff.

I'd fully agree, if the stolen Bludgeon was the final product, which means, imo, that he probably isn't in full production yet. Test shots, like the stolen Bludgeon, have been seen many months before the release of a figure. We'll probably see him and Ironhide late November at the earliest, imo. Still, it's extremely hard to guess when anything is going to be released anymore, even with Hasbro's estimated times.

 

The purple bike was never officially named Moonracer. That was just a claim somebody made without any evidence that people took on faith (and unfortunately has been widely repeated). There's been several characters named Flareup, but the name Moonracer has only ever been used once.

 

I don't know, the one we saw matches up with the pics Hasbro showed pretty well. You can kinda match up the weird tread wheel colors to the official tank images. Knowing that Hasbro's photoshops are usually more detailed than the final product, I'm gonna out on a limb and say that's a production Bludgeon.

 

All the molded in plastic colors are correct, but it's the lack of any paint apps on the stolen Bludgeon that, imo, shows it's just a test shot. Most test shots we've seen in the pat have been done in odd colors, but there's usually at least a couple that have the correct plastic colors.

 

Ahh, I do see your point. I'm hoping for a late November release, because I'd like to get him and Junglehide for my birthday.  

 

That would actually work out for me too, as my birthday is in late November too, lol. Yet at the same time, there's so many other TF's I want to get this year, that I'm hoping Bludgeon doesn't come out till December, at the earliest.

On the subject of Jungle Attack Ironhide, I'm not sure I'll get him. If I do, he's being renamed Trailbreaker, and I may repaint my current Ironhide red to help differentiate the two a bit more. I'm already going to kitbash my current Ratchet as Suppresor, lol.

 

Skystalker also resembles G1 Cybertronian mode Laserbeak quite well.
