It's different for him to not like them cuz he's directing the movies.

It just concerns people and dashes hopes to hear the director say that.

Saying that he hates them is a bit extreme. I mean I'm not their biggest fans, but i don't mind them.

But I do agree that putting them in the movieverse is risky either way, either Mechanical Dinosaurs in a world of realistic modern alt modes, or new vehicles like Tanks or Jets, which the geewunners wouldn't understand and would hate

People who have been fans of a franchise should have no right to an opinion once the franchise takes another direction! /sarcasm

So what if some of us dont care about the movies? This is more ammo for the argument that Bayformers sucks and I will gladly take it. Im not saying the G1 dinobots are right for realistic movies, but this just shows that the man is not right for the franchise and lacks creativity and imagination needed to make a good Transformers movie. In all honesty, I dont want any dinobot or ANY Transformer in the next movie because I dont want him to fuck it up.

I really hope we get a decent director/writer/producer/whatever for a reboot of the franchise 10 years or so from now.

    Really?That's getting old.

I think either way would work.Dinosaurs or tanks and whatever, both are cool.

Still though, why do the Dinobots have to disguise themselves?I don't see why they would feel the need to,from they'r perspective.

Unless they'r dino and robot forms cut into the budget and take away from human crap.

People say that the Dinobots wouldn't care about turning into Dinosaurs because they don't care about disguise, but if they didn't like disguise, why would they turn into dinosaurs in the first place? Wouldn't the just turn into more CYBERTRUNIAN JETZ?

Or maybe we can hope the twins grow up alot in TF3, or maybe Bumblebee can just keep slammin' their heads together, works for me.:D

I'm not a big fan of the Dinobots but I do believe Bay could have had some diplomacy regarding his dislike, after all he knew we would be incensed by his statement!:mad  Of course, sometimes I think that's what he wants, and boy do we give it, buckets full.

As for Dinobot from BW, yeah, he'd be a great one to have around!!:thumb

What if the t-Rex IS the robot mode and the vehicle is a mobile missle silo transport.
    That would work for me.

    I agree with you.

But lets be honest- wishing for G1 characters to be in the movieverse is rather stupid any way- it's not like the actual G1 character makes it in anyway- just a character with a G1 name.

You guys should remember that in the second movie, the Transformers were outed by The Fallen, who was getting tired of playing hide-and-go-seek,with the humans. Grimlock is a character that is extremely arrogant and would feel it a joke to try to hide from beings considerably weaker than himself. I could see him, especially in his IDW and Dreamwave persona, purposely going against Prime's orders and finding the largest and most intimidating alt mode just to make people piss their collective pants. And I would get Clancy Brown(The main villain from the first Highlander movie) to voice him. Or we could follow current trends and have Megs in a wheelchair watching hurf and durf beating the crap out of Trypticon and Predaking, while the Arcee pretzel triplets trip on a pebble.
Transformer, I knew you well! :rip

There is no way that a movie director who allegedly demands everything to be awesome can be against robot dinosaurs from outer space. He's probably being a Liar Liar Pants on Fire so he could catch us off guard when TF3 comes out, which is not absurd since the misinformation campaign showed us that Michael Bay has a tendency to flame his pants.

    TRUE. QFT. QFT!!

Nah. Sorry, not a fan of that idea. Grimlock needs a robot mode.

Maybe he should, if he makes governor of some hick state before TF3 gets into pre-prod he'd have to stop directing. Don't get me wrong, ROTF was good, better than the first, but the anti-fan stigma in Bay's camp is sometimes unbelievable.

'Michael Bay hates dinobots' - you're on a TF forum, what did you expect?
