Thanks. Not sure how I feel about going down in the history of ROTF customs as the guy that made transforming balls but oh well. You take what you can get I guess!
Now I know all of us guys have pride - but truth be told - how many of us who just ess our pants if we saw something like that? I mean... that brings "Balls of steel" to a whole new level... -W
Awesome work Creg, I love the added cables around the arms which is true to the movie. Also like the saturated color which pops out a lot and does matches the movie version. I'm not a fan of wrekling balls on bots lol but it's nice to have this level of attention to detail. Some suggestions, attach some darkish threads on Hightower's crane, it'll make the left arm even more believable. Paint more dirt on Mixmaster's mixer, it seems like the only place not been thoroughly covered with anything, and finally bigger pictures with flashier lighting to show more details. Again, I really love this custom, hats off to you.
Transforming decepticles - man... b/w this & FR's ice cream truck - I'm starting to worry about the sanity of ppl who customize on a full-time basis... Seriously, this is awesome - standing ovation...
I don't know if anyone reads the rules about etiquette or what not, but it's somewhat disrespectful the way you guys are making it sound. It sounds like you guys are putting F_R down. I think CREG and F_R are the masters of this craft and have two different styles, so comparing them, and or saying someone is better than the other is very disrespectful. So on to commenting on this thread for this figure and leaving any other figure off of here: I really like the Decepticles! Are those Bakugan figures?
hehe, I thought of it the same way until someone told me in a PM that I should feel proud, in that a way, I've made my customs the benchmark. I'm almost flattered when works are compared to mine. when said better, that's all in the eyes of the beholder. Some like this or that for different reasons. I don't even intend or plan to please everyone....it's impossible.
thats a good way to look at it...though if I were u id only care the ching-ching coming in my pocket...

Curious as to what you did, the first post has no info on what work was done, just pics...? It's titled/categorized as heavy/scratch but looks like weathering/drybrushing over unpainted plastic. if I'm wrong I'm sorry (I can't tell what was done and what wasn't, honestly), can you elaborate a little on what you did ?
Thank you very much - and yes they are. People will always compare. It's just part of it. I don't even think it's disrespectful personally. But then again - I've been an artist my whole life and a customizer for the past 5 or so years so I'm used to criticism and being compared. I also find the timing of some of these projects funny. I had a guy cuss me in an email once for "stealing" his stuff just because he finished and posted his on ebay a week before I did. But if someone goes off saying "I like this better than so-n-so's and they're a big stupid poop head" - Well that's a little different and completely uncalled for.
heavy/scratch isn't the proper description. I tried to change that part of listing but did not see how to. If there is a way someone please advise. Thanks
How do I say this without sounding like a douche? F_R and Creg both do astounding repaint jobs and it shows. F_R's drybrushing skills are beyond words. Creg, well, I gotta hand it to him for doing the balls. I do think that the balls add something to the already impressive figure, made even more impressive by the repaint job. F-R, your creations are one of a kind. You truly do deserve a special place on this forum. Your Devastator looks even more awesome, due to the wicked weathering job. F_R and CREG Customs always keep raising the benchmark for repainting and customization of transformers. Keep up the good work. P.S-Sorry about that comment I made.
