Actually quite a clever redeco, looks good on the figure. The box is cool, nice nod to the old comics. Will stick with my original MP-8 tho, no need to doubledip. This makes Megatron the only MP not to have had some kind of repaint treatment, which surprises me. Always expected them to do the brown/blue colours or something, or do the VSX set colours and include the massive sword. Make the most of the mould. (Hm... maybe they will do that MP Prime/Megs set after all, and do it as "MP VSX")
I'm good with my current Grimmy. I guess they had to find some way to milk that mold other than with the same old colours. Sounds like this will end up pretty limited. at first glance, it appears the robot knees on the new one are painted silver, versus black on the original. There may be slight differences in the colors of the red and blue on the legs. The gold chrome also appears to be much "oranger" than the original, perhaps more of a bronze. I'd be happier if this is indeed a bit of a different paint job.
i already have grimlock but it would have been nice if he came with that crown instead of the useless tray of drinks.
Indeed. The original release should've came with THESE accessories, rather than what did come with it. I hope this isn't too hard to get.
His gray is lighter more silver, the gold chrome is more orange, the red chrome is more orange, the clear plastic on the sword is clear orange, the black is dark blue, the gun barrels are painted over silver rather than unpainted clear plastic. Randy
Same here, though I did buy the IG-TF003 Masterpiece Grimlock Upgrade Kit from BBTS: http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/search.aspx?search=IG-TF003 Seems the better wallet altenative. I don't need two MP Grimlocks.
Pass. I love Grimlock, but it's not worth getting another one just for the crown. If I want a crown I'll just buy the upgrade kit.

Wow. That looks pretty cool. I have not bought a MP Grimlock yet, but now I dont know what one to get. This box art is pretty awesome, but Im not sure if I like the omitted accessories and the new colors.
