    I hope they do stick around for the 3rd installment,
    I think they deserve the trilogy, but I tend you agree with you.

    I'd ordinarily not be that concerned, but you wouldn't want anyone else to waltz in and mess everything up established thus far (the 2 Burton Batman films VS the 2 following Batman films for instance). As to a trilogy..why stop at 3? I mean if a 3rd installment delivers even 3/4ths the results on the same kind of budget (I estimate about $175 million), there's good reason to keep going with the series. Of course, we'd have to get a 3rd film next.

    Closing in on $1.5 BILLION together just in theatrical releases. A billion and a half dollars collectively just from cinemas from production budgets close to $350 million combined. That money's been made back a few times over.
