    I like mine.

I think mine does have mild tarnish issues on the feet, but not bad. (I didn't notice if it came that way or developed over time)

I've never transformed it (partly because of all the complaining about breakage). He's reasonably stable on his feet (although I usually have his back to a wall so he has nowhere to go if he should fall).

I think it's a good representation of the G1 cartoon version of Megatron- of course I always found G1 cartoon megatron to be a bit visually underwhelming and this toy has that issue as well.

I think all 4 of the MP molds are worth getting in some version or other.

As a side note, I just got alternity Megatron a week or so ago and I'm pretty sure this is my favorite Megatron toy I've ever had. I actually like him better than Alternity Convoy, which is a first (although both are REALLY, REALLY nice).

had one, sold it on the bay for 150 about 2 weeks ago. it was nice, but I never tf'd him because I was afraid he would break.

That's a really good price. He's definitely worth that. I'd recommend getting Grimmy too btw, once you have the MP bug you can't stop! ;)

    MP Megatron...here's an analogy:
    go buy a hand grenade.
pull the pin, but hold the lever.
next time, pull, but put the pin back in.
then pull and release lever (let the fuse burn).......boom!

same thing goes for Megs. you're playing with a ticking bomb if you transform him and playing with those things always end badly.

    Get something else.

If you have $ to burn go for Megs but personally, I won't recommend him. He is my first TF in over 20 years of collecting to suffer from cosmic rust. To make matters worse, the joints on mine got progressive loose even though I just left him on my shelf for display.

love him pulled him out today after reading this post no problems transforming, nothing lose other than the justittoys add on for the butt in robot mode. Always stored in gun form (maybe thats why it's not lose). Transforming him patiently will cause no breakage. Had him for well over a year now. Chrome is slightly foggy nothing some polishing can't fix.

I couldn't agree more... I was starting to think I was the only one with an MP Megs who LOVED it!

Just thought I would update - Megs arrived in the mail today.

WOW! Pics just cannot prepare you for how big he is. I was awed to see how huge the figure was when I pulled the tray out of the box.

In all honesty, I had a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach when I got my hands on him for the first time and picked him up. He was so damn wobbly and loose feeling that despite getting him for a reasonable price my heart sank on having spent so much on him. The initial bad taste got worse after I attached his massive fusion cannon and tried to pose him.

After fiddling around with him for a solid 30-45 minutes, no transforming just testing out the articulation and clicking parts in and out things seemed to improve. I think he wasn't transformed properly or completely initially which certainly didn't help out of the package. He probably needs a full transform to gun and back again (which I'll tackle tomorrow) to make sure everything is in the right place.

I did manage to get him into some good poses (even with the fusion cannon attached) stuck with one I really liked and put him up on display. He looks absolutely fantastic - my eyes are constantly drawn to him.

In the end, I'm happy with MP Megs. For me, he is an impressive enough display piece to justify the cost even if I'm not comfortable 'playing' with him (yet). I may have to spring for the upgrade kit and the die-cast legs.

Masterpiece Megatron is a BRILLIANT display piece when posed just right. Wouldn't recommend him as a toy to be played with, however. Here's mine displayed along with my other MPs:

i would buy megs to go along with prime. they look really cool together.
as a toy its not that great, but if you just plan on displaying him then i recommend him.

luckily i got my mp05 for a little more than usd 50.. hehe.. it is actually a very bad figure. the chest is too heavy that the legs wont support the burden, and yes, making it too hard to pose. the arm guard is easily detached from its joint, making it loose after a few transformation. i had to detached the arm guard before transforming it. i had also broke a small plastic part used to attach the barrel of the gun to its body.

the worst part is the gun mode. the pistol grip is so ugly that you'll only hold it for a cople of seconds before transforming it back to its robot mode. i had my 9-year old cousin laughing frantically at me saying "don't you think your so called masterpiece megs is kinda ugly in its gun mode?" (it doesn't happen when i do the same with g1 megs)

telling u the truth, mp05 doesn't deserve to be called masterpiece..

I know this is off-topic from the OP's point, but where does everyone got the glass tower display cases for their figures? They look good, especially the fellow who had his MPs in the dual towers.
