I need Bruticus. Of the three Energon combiner types, he's my favorite, and of all three combiners his limbs are also the most G1-ish to their namesakes (Vortex is a helicopter, Brawl's a tank, and Onslaught's a generic truck-thing).

Scantron's story is pretty much what I was gonna say. I'd rather have three combiners with two pairs of limb types each as opposed to two combiners with unique limbs. It's not like the G1 Scramble City type combiners were any better, since each of the "limb" robots more or less followed the same transformation.

If you want an Energon-style combiner, go get all the parts for Nexus Maximus, who's just a mainly read-and-blue redeco of the left side of Bruticus (w/ a new head) while the right side limbs are from Superion.

The third combiner, Construction Maximus repainted into Classics Devestator, was actually the first Energon combiner to be repainted and issued at retail. However, that was 3 years ago (he was out in 2006), and thanks to him being a poorly distributed Wal-Mart exclusive he was never sold in some places and was marked down sharply as a shelfwarmer in others.

I'd just like to take this time to thank BBTS for the Classics Devastator I have standing over my classics decepticons at the moment.

Holy crap! Another new release? This has to be a record, at this point.

Even if a remold was required, I've been under the impression that blanking out a faction symbol is one of the easiest-to-do remolds there is. Still lots cheaper than new toys, and it would give Hasbro considerably more variety in what they can do with their repaints than what they're currently doing (and, thus, raise potential sales among those who otherwise see these as "just straight repaints").

I've said this before, but I really would enjoy Defensor and Menasor done up like this. (Fire truck, two cop cars, two ambulances-tractor trailer-two racing car molds)

It would be awesome. Then it would allow Hasbro (and the club) to do more combos.

They would just need to give em hands and feet this time.

Hasbro is actually still releasing toys in Europe? I thought they were just planning to sell off all the wave 1 toys and then ship another batch to stores. :drunk

It's about time that BM is released, but I have already pre-ordered the Encore Bruticus/Combaticons set. Then again, I might get BM to face off against Superion Maximus.

I saw "Devestator" in several Walmart stores back then when the Classics line was out. But I never had the money to get him as I think he had a pretty pricey tag on him that just wasn't justified for my hatred of the energon figures. They never appealed to me as much as the Cybertron line did.

Finally something is going to show up on store shelves that will overcome my complete apathy toward the entire franchise. I think this and G1 re-issues (Encore and G1 Perceptor) are the only toys I want for the rest of the year, unless those last animated toys final come out before December.

Damn, and I'm still broke from a few weeks back. I guess I will be making calls this weekend for Bruticus. Since we are making lists here is my need to find figures.

    Mudflap (Mudflap license plate variant)
    Ice Cream Twins
    Blazemaster
    Arcee
    Swerve
    Jolt
    Deadend
    Stalker Scorponok
    Grindor
    Long Haul
    Ejector
    Nightbeat
    And now Bruticus

Devastator will probably be on that list soon but I may wait for a sale.
