so I just got home from target and I had to make a hard choice on what to buy there. here was my choices:

    1. rotf mixmaster and rotf demolisher
    2. rotf superion
    3. rotf leader prime
    I chose # 1. do you think I made a good decision?

I think he meant Leader Prime should have been the pick.

I'd probably have gone with #3.
Demolisher and Mixmaster both seem to be very hit and miss. Some hate them, some love them.
Still, #2 would have been a lot worse. Definately the weakest of the Energon combiners, and pretty lacking unless you plan to drop a lot of green for some arms and feet.

Then again; as long as you're happy with what you got, its pretty safe to say that you make a good decision.

Yup, mixmaster is a fine choice. I haven't picked up a mixmaster yet but by all accounts I've heard that its a win. But you really should pick up leader prime next time. You'll be really happy. And if you're planning on picking up rotf superion then I would suggest also ordering the fansproject appendage kit.

I would've gone 3, unless you want to pay for Buster Prime. THEN I would've gone 1, and left 2 for later.

Most of them are too plastic looking (I think that's even a bigger issue for mixmaster).

1 was a good choice because, even if you don't get buster prime- prime should be easy to get for quite some time. Mixmaster has proven to be a bit tougher (though not that tough).

As far as the better toy, I like my Prime a lot more than my Mixmaster (although Mixmaster is great as well)

Overall, I'd say Leader Prime all the way. Mixmaster is rad; tricky, but worth it once you get used to his transformation. His alt mode is pretty solid, with not kibble aside from the undercarriage. Demolisher seems, to me, not worth it unless he goes on sale later. I like Superion I guess, but after finally buying him I'd say it's really nice to have, but shouldn't have been a priority for me to get. If you do get him, know that doing the knee fix is really easy and well worth it. In fact, just do it right off the bat; it makes a nice difference, especially when you go into alt mode.

Out of those choices, I've done what you did. I personaly am holding out for Buster Prime (sure, the first one had twin swords, but they didn't really last from what I saw in the movie, and I like guns anyways), and Superion is a semi-common shelfwarmer in every Target I go to.

Mixmaster looks awesome, but was Demolishor your only other choice? I'd have gone with The Fallen or even Megatron at that size class, personaly, but Demolishor is a big shelfwarmer for my areas as well, so he's easy to get for me. If I wasn't to busy trying to not buy anything until I find The Fallen, I would have gotten him by now, personaly.
