    And THAT should give the mindless fanbois pause for thought. It won't, because they're too busy ranting about how Roger Ebert was bribed by JK Rowling, but it should.

    Domestically TF2 could maintain it's 2009 title. But once you factor in the the International market HP will clobber TF2.

    This will not stop me from enjoying either film though.

    If only that were true. Biggest waste in the entire movie...outside the stupid attack of the Burrow.

    Harry Potter and Transformers are my two favorite things to read/watch/write about. I'm not really sure how I stand on this situation, I've been a HP fan since first grade and the books are still my preferred reading choices thoough it lost some of it's hype for me when the book series ended, thats near the time when I got into TFs, something that just keeps dishing out new ideas.
    But there are sure to be a lot of people watching this movie because the books are still very popular and there are always new readers, enlarging the still growing fanbase where Transformers have so many people who dislike certain parts of the franchise, like the ones who absolutly despise the movie for "ruining their childhoods", and many people who are only mildly interested in TFs will be more likely to read a book than take time to get on the computer to see the episodes or watch the newer ones on some kid's channel. Shows have their time but they eventually become outdated, where books can last through many, many lifetimes.

    i have never watched one hp movie all the way through. the reasons are that i either change channel, go to bathroom, eat something, fall asleep, watch paint dry, count the blades of grass on my lawn, stab my hand w/ a knife, other stuff more entertaining than hp.

    Probably not if you don't want Potter fans to include book sales. Just saying.

    I'm just devil's advocating, I've never watched a Harry Potter movie.

    Hmmm, yeah. Can someone explain to me why HP 6 is even being made into 2 movies? The trailer seems to cover the whole dang short-ness of the book...o_O ;

    Anyway, back on topic, I wouldn't even care to go see HP 6 anyway because Revenge of the Bayformers was my 8.50 movie of the month, rather for the rest of the year. I'll go watch bad teenage actors being out-shined by adults for .75 cents after it leaves the big theatres.

    its because they want to drag out the Harry potter cash cow for as long as they can.
    If they did things properly HP4 would have been 2 films and not number 6. as it is there is a ton of material cut out.

    Out of HP:HBP and TF:ROTF I have to say that HP is the better film. Box office figures or no, ROTF is more a cinematic equivelent of being thrown out of a plane with fireworks in your eyes

    Domestically, TF2 did better than Potter. Worldwide it's quite the opposite.
