Any chance for Spike to be in the movie

    In the G1 days Spike was the human hero in the TV series and Buster was the human hero in the comic series and they were suppossed to have been the same character but toward's the latter parts of the G1 comic they became brothers.

    To follow in that tradition where Sam and Spike are the same character they could actually reveal they were cousins.

    yup. Sam's nothing like Spike. And Ron is nothing like Sparkplug. Another example of why this film verse should not be compared to the cartoon show.

    No!spike was annoying and somewhat dimwitted in most episodes!so i think its very clear that spike sucks.

    But seriously, Sam is just the 'real name' the writers created for Spike. And I can't really imagine him being called Spike by Megan Fox.

    The writers have already mentioned that when they had made the first film they didn't want to use Spike and Sparkplug to avoid upsetting the fans, and opted instead to make Ron and Sam as the equivalent Witwickys. Everyone saying that they are the same, or that Spike is Sam's nickname probably got that from a different source.

    In anwer to your question, no I do not believe they will have Spike in it. I liked Spike and Sparkplug in the show but they were contractors and everything men. They knew about mines and construction sites and didn't seem to have a specific job.

    Also, other than bringing a human child into the show so that we all could live with the autobots through Spike he doesn't have much place to be in the movieverse. Also it would be overkill. Spike might not be Sam, but Sam does the job well enough.

    Sam was supposedly based off of Spike. So, no... no Spike. Just Sam.

    S. Witwicky is not a coincidence. Sam is meant to be a slightly more realistic take on Spike Witwicky.

    As long as they don't try to do the "FrankenSpike" episode where they transferred Spike's brain into that junk bot.
