Man, I love Windcharger too. That would help round out my ark crew VERY nicely.

Someone posted awhile back a boxset idea that featured Chromedome from the Cybertron Downshift mold. I like that a little better than the sunstreaker mold.

I love these man, keep em coming!

Edit: sorry had to come back and praise more. I love Siren, Scorponok, Breakdown, Pyro, Crosshair and Slapdash. I would buy all the departure from nebulos set and the mean streets set.

Any chance of photoshopped vehicle modes?

Oh, I always felt Energon Cliffjumper and Energon Hot Shot (w/ new head) would work great for Powermasters Joyride and Getaway.

You should do a set with scout Cybertron Scattorshot. That little guy gets no love.

Thanks Freefall! I appreciate it. I believe the Chromedome to which you are referring was digibashed by llamatron in his similar Botcon thread right here:

    Llamatron's Botcon thread

In fact, he also has Cybertron scout Scattershot in there, which you'll appreciate! I agree, I think his Chromedome is fantastic. I would buy that in a second, for sure. Although my first mold choice for a Chromedome repaint would still be Classics Rodimus (I posted an earlier digibash I did of that back on page 3 of this thread). Anyhow, ANY new Chromedome would be welcome in my opinion.

To answer your other questions, hmm, vehicle modes, I dunno.... I would love to get to them at some point, I know it would definitely help sell some of the ideas better (for example, I think Needlenose works because the Cyclonus mold has, well, a very needle-like nose in plane mode). Not sure when I'll have the time, though, I've kinda just been squeezing a few of these in here and there in my free time. But if I can do them, I will, for sure!

Glad you like Windcharger. Yeah, I fear that that little guy has been all but forgotten by Hasbro lately... seems that the "third-stringer little red sports car who isn't Sideswipe or Cliffjumper" spot has been taken over by a de-truckified Swerve. So I figured a Botcon figure would be a good way for completists to get a Windcharger.

Regarding Scattershot, I agree, he's a nice little mold that deserves a repaint (despite his sideways knees). I did have him in mind for one potential set, but it was a set I hadn't really fully fleshed out yet. I thought he and Energon Skyblast could be paired up together as Raindance and Grandslam (albeit a non-combining version). I dunno, whaddya think? Would there be a better use for him? I know some folks want to see him repainted as Warpath, but that has never felt quite right to me. And it seems redundant with the excellent Warpath Legends figure. But I'm open to ideas!

Nope, not real customs.... just digital recolors in Photoshop, sometimes with pieces and heads swapped or altered. That's why some of them look kinda cruddy and fake, I'm just trying to bang 'em out quickly to get across the ideas. :)  I'm afraid I have neither the patience nor the skill to do this many actual customs.

Any chance we could see digibashes of: ACTION MASTERS!

    -Cybertron Menasor into Omega Spreem

    -Energon Skorponok into Double Punch

    -Machine Wars Starscream into Skyfall

    -Energon Springer into Windmill

-Energon Sky Shadow or Cybertron Jetfire (I can't decide) into Turbo Master

Yeah, that mold is really cool, but he really he is hard to nail down a good g1 homage for. I like llamatrons creativity for Blitz and Wing, but it wouldn't be something I would be interested in. I could possibly see him being a new character. Maybe the movie line will do that.

I think his Apeface would look great with your Skullcruncher though!

set 1 is a definite win...the others might be okay, but i'd only want a few of them...and poor dead end getting stuck with that hotshot mold...so sad...

    Thanks for the comments, guys!

Just posted another set: "Far From Home." This is, er, a bit of a weird one. I just figured that there are a few characters who have shown up in the Transformers universe post-G1, but have been so embraced that it's almost like they were always there. This set is sort of a way to retcon some of them back into the G1 universe, to help build the ranks and to just see what they might look like if translated to the classical TF aesthetic style.

Oh, and of course there are some Gobots. :)  Regarding Bad Boy's color scheme, I decided to go with his original Gobot colors instead of his E-Hobby colors. I just thought the light grey would be too similar to Universe Powerglide's colors, and decided the green had more legacy value anyway. Plus I think an A-10 would look nice and intimidating in Army Green.

Oh, and as I stated in my edited first post, I also cheated a bit and added a "Bonus" Legends set to this one. This was mostly just because I couldn't stand the idea of having Gobots in the set and not including a re-colored Pathfinderized Cosmos figure. For this one I DID go with the E-Hobby scheme because, well, it's pretty.

Anyway, enjoy! As always, comments welcome.

These digibashes are exceptional and must have taken quite some time! I too really enjoy the Nebulous set; but my favorites overall are Trigger Happy, Brakedown, and Jackpot. Great job!

Hey, i already made Hot Shot/Artfire before!

I really like the X-brawn from Ironhide. He was my favorite toy from RiD, and that mold suits him very well.

You automaticaly had me for set #5 the moment you mentioned Swindler (what can I say, I love the micromaster), and I was cracking up when I saw your Bulkhead idea (which I'd Love for my collection as well). I also like Wheeljack and Blackout, since you swaped the names and molds used for them (Armada Wheeljack's mold was used for SG Sideswipe, and a retooled Movie Blackout was used for Evac).

The RID bots are easily the best of the bunch, however. The Sky-Byte really fits the Sharkticon mold like a glove, the X-Brawn is fantastic, and the Hot Shot is a great homage as well (if abit implausible, since Paramount owns the rights to that mold in addition to Hasbro).

Love the new set. Alot. I finally decided to sit down and watch RID recently and I really like the X-Brawn from Ironhide concept. Lockdown's girth reminds me of his Activator self... but it looks great other than that! Ha ha ha!

And Slipstream and Barricade and Wheeljack are all awesome (especially Wheeljack)! And movie Wheelie made me laugh, but you have to think of a way he can change sides easily. Perhaps those plastic stickers that aren't stickers and can come off, in both Autobot and Decepticon logos...

I always found BotCon exclusives ugly. The colors don't fit the mold, IMO. I love your Diaclone returns set, though. Slipstream is awesome, too. Bulkhead and Lockdown are cool, as well.

Paramount doesn't own the rights to the Hot Shot mold. Its a universe figure :)
