Poll! Bumblebee Poll~Is Bumblebee way to powerful in the movies compared to G1?

As growing up Bumblebee was fun to watch and popular in the cartoons. However in the movies, It seems like Bumblebee beats up all the decepticons up. Bumblebee was never much of a fighter in the cartoons however it seems to me he is unbeatable now. Is it just me or is Bumblebee really that good of a fighter from g1 and comics and novels.

Yeh, look. The Bumblebee I know from G1 is not in the live action films.
The Bayblebee is a different creature altogether. I didn't vote at all for that reason.

Same. It's a nonsensical comparison given that Bumblebee in the movieverse it Sams guardian (and thus needs to be able to smack down), whereas G1 Bumblebee was a spy/infiltration character/friend to all the humans (and thus generally stood around doing nothing. Or taxi service).

I remember when i was a kid i watched transformers from about 3 years old and i know i always despised one bot.

and it was always bumble bee......i thought he was pathetic. so wimpy and small.

if they had put the same bumble bee like character in the bayverse i would of been pissed.

Though I didn't despise G1 Bumblebee, he did irritate the hell out of me. Having a kickass Bumblebee in the films has been something I've welcomed.

Movie Bee is not G1 Bee at all. Movie Bee is a kick ass mutha. G1 Bee is a spy guy who's the kid-appeal character that hangs around the humans of G1. Therefore the comparisons seem moot.

Bumbles sucked in G1 I love what Bay did with the character sure he was alittle over the top in some parts ie, the crying but nowhere near as annoying as G1 BEe.

Bumblebee in G1 was basically a small scout and not a fighter. He was there to be the friendly approachable figure for the human characters.

I like this new version of BB. In this universe without the ability to fight back and beable to fight back HARD you'd be dead in no time flat. He still has his scout status but also has the ability to be useful in battles as well now.

As a kid, I always loved Bumblebee. Maybe it's because I was the target audience for his pally kid-friendliness, or maybe it was just because he was the very first TransFormers toy I ever got. I always felt a conflict though. His box art and his face on the toy said "badass killer ninja robot." But on the show, he was a likable, goofy, cute robot that rarely fought and failed a little too much as a spy. The movies have added in the missing dimension I felt was supposed to be a part of the character ever since I was four. Does this mean Michael Bay un-raped my childhood?

First I read that some of you thought Prime was too powerful. Now Bumblebee? Wow. What do you want to see happen to Prime and Bumblebee, have swords get impaled through their heads?

G1 BB is the worst one yet! Even in TFA he was used as a decoy in every episode, but he was still fastest, besides Blurr

I can't vote given the options. There's no reason one incarnation of Bumblebee can't be more of a fighter than another incarnation. Once upon a time I could be easily quoted as saying they'd be better off making this incarnation Hot Shot or a young Rodimus rather than Bumblebee since it seems to fit better. But what's done is done, it's been established, this is how the Bee is for this slice of Transformersverse. One incarnation doesn't affect the other, so no worries. And, oddly enough, putting his lack of ability to speak and his unmasked face aside, he reminds me a lot of how I always thought Bumblebee would be if he'd been given the Matrix & made a Prime in the G1 animated film (like it should have been). Obviously not the same car since no such thing existed back then, but the size, that cool mask, his overall design, just a few modifications needed, little solidifying to the armor, whamo. And for the record I loved G1 Bumblebee, and it saddens me an endeared character so long-standing in the Transformers mythos is so constantly and blatantly attacked and shat upon nowadays all for over-offending/defending claims/stances/views in comparison to the new one.
