I'm going to be heading down to MD for the weekend. I'm planning to stop a couple times along the way to hunt for Jetfire. I'll be on 81 most of the way. Already stopping in York. Any other places I should check out?

 

It's not much of a discount, but the Fairless Hills WalMart is closing (moving about 5 miles to a larger location) on 7/14. They don't have anything other than the typical Voyagers that every store has (Prime, SS, Demolisher, Ironhide, Ratchet, Stratosphere), but they're on sale for $18.00.

Weird thing.. was in there last night and even though they aren't getting any more stock because they're moving, I decided to take a look. I saw "Megatron" on the side of the Voyager box, so I grabbed it (I need that one), and if was Mixmaster in a Megs box. Didn't look opened/resealed either. Looks like a factory mess up. I didn't buy it, so that's there too.

 

I think the $18 Walmart Voyagers is a current widespread sale. I saw that at a store that's not closing.

 

Scored the Burger King Powerup Prime and Megatron from the Burger King on Manor Street in Lancaster, PA. How's that for a sighting?

Now for a real sighting:

The Walmart on Fruitville Pike in Lancaster, PA had a Hasbro representative this morning, and I had the luxury of talking to her. Very nice lady, and she was putting out movie Voyagers...at least 3 or 4 Stratospheres from what I saw. Nothing brand new, and she did say that she had no Jetfire's back there...all Prime's and Megatrons.

Anyway, she was really mad at the fact that neither Walmart in the area had the G.I.Joe - Rise of Cobra figures out, and I actually got to listen to her basically ream out the toy department manager. She also put the ki-bosh on a would-be scalper. She had someone come in and pickup 20 new G.I.Joe figures...but when the guy made it to the register he only had 3. Suspecting the dude of shoplifting she went to the front and asked him where the rest where...and he showed her. The dude stashed them throughout the store. Thus I was able to score a Paris Pursuit Snake Eyes, Reactive Armor Duke, Cobra Commander, Paris Pursuit Storm Shadow.

She also told me that she lovingly refers to the Walmart on Lincoln Highway as ghettomart, and she flat-out told me to avoid the store...cause they refuse to put new product out. Odd...you think Hasbro could stop these actions, but I don't know...

I don't think I've ever heard anyone NOT refer to Lincoln Highway's Walmart as the "Ghettomart".

 

did you ask about jetfire? as in why there are so few? could it be a limited release thing or just a screw up that any stores have/had them at all?

For all you guys looking to score a jetfire or scalpel head to the walmart in whitehall, PA
they had 5 jetfires(now 4) and 6 scalpels as well as the other 2 new scouts. other then that nothing else new in the area

 

Hahaha, yeah man...I wonder if that kind of feedback makes it back to Hasbro?

I asked why Jetfire was so rare, and she just said it goes by a store by store basis. She said it depended on how many Leader Class figures the store had in stock versus how fast they are moving from the store shelves. I guess here in Lancaster, both Walmarts aren't doing so good.

I did also inform her how difficult Hasbro is making it to collect toys with these shifting release dates. I told her of my own horrendous experience with the last Transformers movie toys, and the current Revenge of the Fallen release...and she completely agreed and understood...so it must be a common complaint that she had heard. This is what led her to the "why the hell don't these guys have the Rise of Cobra stuff out yet?" After a little aggravated conversation, she had the shelves and endcaps stocked and priced by like 4 Walmart employees and herself.

 

Any Ejector sightings in the Allentown/Whitehall area yet? Any help would be appreciated.

Oh, I could have sworn I saw someone report a sighting of the wave his was in, my bad.

 

I saw a Robot Replicas The Fallen figure at Wal-Mart in Dickson City. I do not know if this is new to any of you but this is the frist I have seen of him.

I am still in the hunt for a Jetfire figure which I found nothing  but I did score some new G.I. Joe movie figures. I picked up Cobra Commander, Snake Eyes, Destro, Baroness, Duke, Storm Shadow, and Covergirl. I know these aren't Transformer sightings, but they always did go hand in hand. Besides I am just happy to not walk out or a store empty handed 

 

I'm still looking too. The W-B/Scranton area always seems to be behind.

 

Anyone looking for Jetfire can check HasbroToyShop.com. They have him in stock. They are also selling a combo deal that is Prime and Jetfire however they are still box individually. Also if you use the Burger King free shipping code it the same as getting Jetfire at retail.

 

If anyone is still looking for a HA bumblebee, I can pickup one for them.

 

Just got back from Natrona Walmart and picked up a leader Jetfire. He looks very nice in person. There are 2 left.

 

I have checked a few stores in the Lehigh Valley and I haven't seen one yet but if I do.........you kind folks here at TFW will be the first to know.

For those folks who have been looking around for more Preview Bee's & Soundwave's they had at least 3 of each

They had 4-5 Prime Voyagers (I haven't seen them since the first night) & a few Stratospheres.

As for Deluxes.....I saw every figure from Preview through Wave 3 EXCEPT Cannon Bee (14 different characters)
