they're predicting it too cross $400 million domestic over the 4th of July holiday weekend. i don't think anyones going to consider it a bomb (it's at this point petty much assured to be the biggest movie of the year)

I thought it had the record for worldwide opening but on boxofficemojo it's still HP3. Did I read that wrong?

ICE AGE: DAWN OF THE DINOSAURS took in $13,791,157 on Wednesday

TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN took in $10,939,131

not bad considering it was Ice Age's opening day

I was going to watch Ice Age, but when I got there, I saw that giant Bumblebee poster... and couldn't resist.

on boxofficemojo under Alltime WORLDWIDE OPENINGS it has ROTF at #8 at around 238 Million, only 19.8 million for the international opening, this is wrong because it opened a week early in Japan and the UK, I guess they're not counting the weekend where it opened in the USA, which is Bull, All of that should count since Spiderman 3 made 230 million International, Hope they update that

I know those are the current numbers, but for ALLTIME, they have not given ROTF the #1 record yet

    it is a "tie"

Both Ice Age 3 and Transformers: ROTF made 42.5 million this weekend. Now on monday the actuals will come in and we will find out who will win but it will be by a hair.

Great job ROTF keep on trucking towards 400 million domestic!

Should be interesting to see who can climb ahead in the finial numbers to break the tie, but so much for the idea that nothing could take on Revenge of the Fallen until the Potter film.

no one was saying that no movie would take it on. It was known that it wouldn't be #1 till Harry Potter but it will just keep making money and that's why the first one made so much money.

So far ROTF's domestic gross stands at $293,459,000, not far behind TF's gross of $319,246,193.

It is making what the first movie made in half the amount of time

expect it to do some serious numbers by the end of its theatrical run such as Spider-Man and Pirates sequels numbers

I certainly agree. I'm guessing it will end up somewhere between Dark Kinght and Pirates, not a bad thing at all :thumb
