Bot mode pics!!! Wuh hoo!! Looks great bro, should get a piv of prime with that HA sam. You've got one of him reflecting off the fuel tank, so why not one of them standing proud together, like at the end of the movie.

I recessed them in a tiny bit more. the inside of the wheel well was shaved down about 1/8 inch (any more and I think the wheel well would lose strength) Thanks.

Thanks Dan. I hope to have him done today. Here's to hoping those who enjoyed this custom rate it appropriately. I'd like to hope that the support on this site outweighs the haters ;)

    Thanks! lol.

It's an awesome figure, but if anything really really needs paint (see OOB pic on last page) Thanks!

Right term, he's got about 20 names. I'm going with "Power-Up Prime" and thanks.

These I'm doing in my free time (Anything outside of 8-5) And thanks.

Awesome idea. I need more pics anyway. Vision was blurry last night cause I was so tired. Blurry pictures were coming out sharp and what I thought were sharp pics looked blurry once on screen....that's when I know to call it a night.

    Thanks for the support guys.

Just when I thought it couldn't get any better. Good god. Is there anything you can improve on this to be more movie accurate?

Any plans for a battle damaged version?

    Fucking ace.

This is a marked improvement on the 1st version which was already great in itself. The little gold details are all there now and I love the flames down by the insides of his shins.

I'd be really interested to see this figure done as a project with yourself and Sabby. I think one of her ultra real glossy car paint jobs for the shell combined with your skillz on the details and robot workings would really come together in a way that the G1 style Devastator never quite managed.

This figure is going to sell for a fortune. Sadly it won't be my cash...

I hope it does well. I don't set goals with auctions, I let it ride how it rides..if I expect an amount, I don't hit it. If I expect a small amount, I usually surprise myself ;)  I love auctions sometimes.

I took a little creative liberty on the details this time. yes, less movie accurate, but I like the extra gold detailing and some other shit that wasn't on the cgi reference I use.

good question, been meaning to elaborate on the color palette.
Rarely do I use "out of the bottle' colors. I think custom colors really push the envelope and "uniqueness" ....

The red was a mix of house of kolors Kosmos Red, Metallic Red, Dorado dreams (pearl finish) and a few drops of GREEN to darken it up....(yeah, I use the color wheel to tweak colors. I should start a thread about proper color mixing...

The blue was Metallic blue and a few drops of Ultimate orange (again, complimentary color to darken it)

just wondering, is it possible to cut the hinge of the rear/top thigh wheel into 2 parts and add another hinge joint to allow the wheel to sit higher, around his hip?

    thanks, was it drybrushed on?

also, i thought of something to help it look like 1% better, which i have not seen yet, on the right side of his face mask there is a vertical line of "tatoos" of cybertronian symbols, or whatever they are called, they are very small though, which is probably why i havent seen anybody do them yet

Absolutely beautiful. This makes an already impressive figure almost perfect. I say almost because there are still a few things in the mold that prevent it from being completely accurate.

    Great job!

Man this thing is 99% perfect! There is one detail that would make this guy beyond detailed perfection, and that is to add the two sets of chains that hang off the back in truck mode. If you can add them without them getting in the way of the transformation, then you sir deserve a metal for this one!

actually, had those built and ready to go, though they'd get in the way of the back plate white rests against that area (top of truck meet there) I'm sure it's possible, just didn't do it this time.
