Is it possible that with all the bad reviews this bubble of growth will pop? What do we do if it does? This whole "ROTF toys not selling" thing is really starting to worry me. Could a possible but highly unlikely flop of this movie and the unexpected failure of toy sales cause our beloved franchise to go south?
What do you mean? Are you asking if the money will somehow combine into a Ravage vomit bot and escape where the government is hiding it?
There are 200 million dollars tht would like to disagree with you. A movie is usually a flop if it drastically drops the second weekend and doesn't make the money back. ROTF not only made it back, but doubled it in less then a week.
Perhaps you haven't been keeping up with current events but it just kicked all kinds of ass. It is already way beyond a flop.
flop = movie earns less then what the budget was to make it...................there have been 100s of flops. ROTF cost 200 million to make and its already doubled that in takings.
If you're trying to compare ROTF to Dark Knight, then yes, it will not be considered its equal in terms of box office generation. If you're comparing ROTF to 99% of the movies ever made, then, no, it is not a flop.
after 25 years of success, transformers will have an other 25 years, the cartoon are not watch by everyone and get the same amount of attention, the movie has.it's a succes, maybe not with critics but it's still a success.we have nothing to fear,we will have transformers 3,new cartoon serie and a lot of toys.
I saw the title of this thread and thought it was something that was started a month or two ago. Starting it a week after it made shitloads of movies and challeneged The Dark Knight's records is rather special.
Truth. A better question would be "What will be the BO precentage drop this weekend?" but that already has it's own thread and it doesn't look like it's going to be too bad either.
