Never commented before, but dude, you should pitch some of your stuff to Hasbro...it's not excessively violent, but just well thought, well written totally enjoyable stuff. I could see this comic becoming a straight to DVD TF movie. Mirage happens to be my favorite character, he's a such a great character. Sunstreaker, love him too. You just put so much life into the bots, it's fantastic.
Another excellent addition. I'm tempted to sell you my custom Alternators Trailbreaker just so he can be in your comic.
One word: SPECTACULAR!! The writing is so great, I could say it's flawless! Mirage still his gentleman self speaks with so much pride and so-called innocence as ever. And here comes Sunstreaker about to pull an idiotic act. And for once, Silverstreak speaks with so much.. willpower? I can't find the word now, but he spoke in such a different manner. The history behind the Autobot symbol was awesome, and I'm not sure how true it is, but it definitely is a win! This update pumped me up today. So thanks a lot! Oh yeah, one last thing:
Just...amazing. Your story of the faction symbol was brilliant, but as always it's the dialogue between your characters that makes this comic so excellent. Also, you need to put me down on the list of the people who bought Alternators thanks to this comic. I got Shockblast this morning and he is rocking.
I'm new, so first time poster for this thread, I must say you are truly incredible. I'm not much for serious comics but you manage to keep enough fluff in the mix to keep it from being to dry and stodgy, I look forward to reading more.
goodness...I've made myself sound like a pill-popping, inebriated, TF fanatic. OK, well I DO like TF's! I just wish your story was finished so I knew everything that happened NOW! Waiting is so very hard, but you never disappoint with an update and I guess patience is still something learned the hard way. Always looking forward to more. See you in the funny pages...
See? See the difference an editor makes? Ah Hound, such a sweet singing voice...trouble is he sings in ultrasonics, so no-one would hear him. Wow, I'm flattered you think so. I'd love to work for Hasbro in the TF fiction department, but I'm not sure they'd let me write the stories I wanted to, or the way I wanted to write them. (That's assuming they'd even touch me with a barge-pole lol! I imagine the queue to get into the official TF writing staff is long and very distinguished.). But thanks, nevertheless. LOL! Hey there TF fans. Do you have an expensive, sweet custom Alt that you'd like to see in OOTDL? Contact Coolhand who, may or may not actually use the figure in the comic but who is always happy to drool over a new Alt... One word: Thank you. (Arrrrgh, that's two words! I have failed!) Mwa-HA-HA! Resistance is futile. All shall be assimilated. Alternators never died, it just became Human Alliance... Wow, thankks, Nagi-Oki. Glad you like what you've ready so far. Pill-popping, inebriated, TF fanatic. I like that. Someone should put that on a T Shirt.
Did anyone else feel the urge to tell 'Streaker just to shoot him already? I mean, it was a nice speech and all, but you're Sunstreaker! You don't give a crap what anyone has to say! Just do it! Stooping to a new low, Sage.
There is a lot of waffle in there. But it's good waffle. Why would that be? Oh, are you talking about your All Hail Megatron recap?
Yeah, I can see how it might appear to be reaching that Sunny could be talked out of murderfying Mirage. Basically, it comes down to Sunstreaker's pathological need to constantly be "better" than anything or anyone else. Sunstreaker has drilled it into his own head that that the Autobots are "Better" than the Decepticons," otherwise why would Sunstreaker have joined them? In Sunny's eyes, the Decepticons are all "Losers." Silverstreak convinced Sunny that if he killed Mirage, he wouldn't be "better" than the Cons anymore, in fact, he'd actually BE one of the "Losers." And Sunny's ego couldn't take that. He'd rather let Mirage live than be one of the "Losers." It's all about the ego, and Silverstreak played to that. I tried to make the idea work as best I could on screen, so if it didn't convince, the buck stops here. Apologies. Sage Vs Spoon: This time, it's Thermonuclear!
Okay, Coolhand I just read this whole thread (well, most of it, but all the of the comic) and in two days time I have to say that this is freakin' awesome! Every little bit just works so well. I'm curious as to what the Entity is... though you do appear to be using BT Prowl's GT body for it (but the symbol doesn't appear to be Autobot on it's shoulder and I can't make it out very well). Also, shame Sunny didn't slag Mirage, but I loved how Silverstreak essentially shames him into not slagging him. Finally, let me just say that your characterization of Ravage has got to be the best characterization that I have ever read. Hands down (and that's coming from a guy whom really loves his Marvel persona!). Can't wait for the next update!
That's a KO Prowl or Camshaft, and the symbol is a bad marketing attempt to pass it off as a real TF. But I'm still not convinced the Entity is Prowl or Camshaft...c'mon, Coolhand, stop teasing us!
Ah, it's a KO... that's why it looked a little weird (aside from the fact that it's missing half it's head and such... btw... Coolhand... did you photoshop that or did you actually burn off half it's head?). Also, yeah, I was thinking that it's possible that the Entity may not be Prowl per se, but perhaps some sort of being that is simply possessing that body. Hard to say as we haven't seen or heard much about the Entity yet... aside from that it attacked the Autobots unprovoked and that Ravage believes that it can somehow bring about the resurrection of the Decepticon Empire we still don't know a whole lot about it.
I just got caught up! The encounter at Mirage's cell was excellently done. Bluestreak's speech was perfectly written. I have to say, I'm pretty happy that Sunstreaker didn't kill Mirage, it gives a much better chance at a proper resolution later. I also found Sunstreaker's choice of weapon manufacturer's to be hilarious! I noticed that Bluestreak mentions that Jazz placed him in charge of gaurding Mirage. It would seem that Jazz has very good insight towards which Autobot is best suited for each task. I sincerely doubt that (with the possible exceptions of Jazz or Optimus Prime), had another Autobot been on guard, things wouldn't have turned out the same. Imagine how Prowl standing guard would have worked out. As always, I'll be looking forward to seeing what happens next!
