i was underwhelmed by The Fallen.
kinda like learning Jason Voorhees was Crystal Lake's A/V geek.

Makes me hate to contemplate how Lame will Unicron will be in TF5 or something.

for me, Bat-shit crazy Galvatron for TF3!!!!

Atleast the general has cool lightsabers...The fallen has a rusty spear that got pulled out of unicron's ass after a bad night of drinking...

To be able to have a double meaning of the title . . . .duh

But really, I came into this movie thinking The Fallen was going to be in stasis mode on Earth under a pyramid. . . and the decepticons were going to try to revive him. Then thats when he starts teleporting and starts up the harvester.

Instead he is sitting on the nemesis like he just had a heart attack?

They should have had the Constructicons excavating a site where The Fallen was buried. To release him to start up the harvester.

I like to think of it as a bizarre shout-out to fans in a way. Because, hell, the Fallen is an obscure villain from the Dreamwave comics, yet he remains an important character in Hasbro's canon.

Because, hey, you expect the movies, if they have any TF references, to have references from the cartoons, not the comics. What better shout out to long-time fans than with something most people have never even heard of?

Now if Vector Prime shows up in the next movie...

Didnt Orci say he was sick of Prime/Megs owning one another every week end, so they ventured for some back story?

i really really liked the fallen. todds voice completely sold him for me. he seemed to be the type of villain who is obscenely powerful and could kill you with a though, but if you ever did get close enough to punch him in the face hed have no idea what the hell to do.

he was effectively darth sidious for the tf universe. he sits back and sees things and knows more (like when he sensed primes death), and has the power to back it up. but like sidious in rotj once someone put their hands on him and physically challanged him he was surprised enough and so out of his element that he couldnt put up alot of fight.

i was disappointed that he died after such a small amount of screen time, but his death was so horrific that i couldnt really complain. id love to see him return, or to get some comics/books entirely devoted to his backstory. overall, love him, hope they do more with him.

Exactly. It was just another WTF moment in the movie that would annoy the Real Transformer fans. Bay does not like the 'Transformer geek"

The Fallen was only surpassed in worthlessness by Devastator. I hated that Megatron served him too. SO LAME!

The Fallen is probably Bay's hidden inner Transformer.

He was there so they could kill a major villain aka giving closure without killing Megatron.

And to look cool in toy form.

Anyway, if you go by the fact that humans can kill cybertronians just fine in the movie, and The Fallen killed alot of humans all by himself... he really is the most powerful Decepticon! :O

i have to agree with this about devastator. he basically showed up, gave them a way to uncover the energy converty thingy majiggy and then left. the fallen didnt add alot, it could easily have been megatron alone looking for said thingy majiggy, but i just liked him. twisted form, awesome voice and freaky powers made him the creepiest transformer ive seen.

Maybe it was the Fallen who was the one laying the eggs in the Nemesis.

Yep, he did nothing at all, but he served to cover some of the TF mythos, which could've been told even without him.
