Absoultely getting. But wait he isn't a g1 reissue hes a toy that looks identical to his g1 counter part toy with articulation AWESOME STRONGLY SUPPORT!
I'm hoping the "not a working microscope" comment is just to cover the fact its not a 50X microscope and its actually a toy. I hope the mechanism still works otherwise its time to find a junker perceptor.
Quite possibly, they're just unaware of it, or simply don't think the original magnification level (which was pretty light) qualifies. Won't know until someone gets one in hand. (Noting that it also says "identical to the original toy.")
My junker says something like 15X on the decals for magnification. But I have no scope, so I don't know.
I will consider this toy grabbed, bought and fondled. Just last weekend I passed up a loose vintage one at an Antique store knowing this reissue was coming out.
I plan to buy two. One for Perceptor and one to fix a broken old black pre-perceptor toy I picked up on ebay. You know it might be a nice idea for a "fans project" kit - someone make the things needed to convert Perceptor into a working x5 powered microscope.
Assuming that it isn't already. Like I said in the earlier post, there are conflicting details, and it's pretty easy to assume that the copywriter didn't know....
