I believe he's a gamer. Why? Because he's a prick with a opinion and a controller just like us. Interview: Transformers' Shia LaBeouf on games he loves FYI-Wii haters, do read the interview, you may find yourself a new found respect for the LeBeouf.
Shia's a douchebag. seriously. and he's depriving himself of some amazing stuff with that ******ed viewpoint. everyone who takes gaming seriously should have all the consoles if they can afford to. there's no reason to hate on people just because they might own a different plastic box that plays games than you do. his holier-than-thou attitdue says to me "you can safely ignore every non-scripted word that will ever come out of my mouth, because I will never, ever say anything of value in my life"
not dumb at all, sir. all the consoles of this generation have their strong points, and damn good reasons to own. just because something may not appeal to you doesnt make it dumb, or even "kinda dumb".
Unless you have a good PC, then all but the 360 are worth owning. Otherwise, yeah they all are worth having for one reason or another. I know, I do.
All of this. Only additionally, I ignore every scripted word out of his mouth by avoiding his movies. Indiana Jones was the last straw for that little prick. And since then he has gotten weird and showed himself to be an asshole. All he does now is dig some of my favorite franchises into a deeper pit of shame. As an avid PC gamer, I agree. I have everything but the 360 due to almost all big 360 exclusives are also on PC. Not having the Wii as a "gamer" is dumb IMO. The Wii had some excellent titles in its first few years (Zelda, Mario, Smash Bros, Metroid, Zack and Wiki...) its just been recent that Nintendo has really been ignoring its core audience.
Thats a cool interview. The day my father first picked up a controller and played 'Alex Kidd In Miracle World' was one of the happiest days I can remember. Plus, more recently we finished co-op mode on 'Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance'. Its so much better when your parents are on your wavelength. I have to cheese some of you off and say I agree with Shia about the Wii. To me, its not a classic gamer's console. Give me a control pad any day. The Wii is a gimmicky little thing. The 'stick' orientated games are tedious and the gameplay isn't exactly 'kick back and relax' either. I am a console gamer. I love the classic console gaming experience - on a sofa, with a pad and some nibbles (healthy ones these days ), looking at a screen.
hand broken yet still plays the 360 and PS3 one...it doesnt use that much motion to play the Wii one.
That one caught me off guard for a moment. Surely if he can be on set running around, jumping off buildings and such, he can play a Wii for a while?
My bro has a wii, got it after his 360 broke and didnt want it back. He now hates the wii after playing it for so long and realizing it isnt a hardcore gaming console. After getting a taste of my ps3 and psp even he wants to sell it to get one of them. I agree with shia here, wii is no good for a hardcore gamer. it just doesnt have the lasting appeal.
Why would anyone want Shia's opinion on anything? The Wii definitely has a lot of strong points that outweigh its weaknesses. Theres at least 10 games coming out for it within a year time span that can be considered "hardcore". Theres already a lot of games of there for the hardcore.
the only time i play wii is if someone comes over and they want to play. it could just be because i haven't gotten any recent games for it, but when i'm walking down the aisle at best buy nothing catches my eye. i'd much rather play xbox
