To anyone who watched the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen movie already is it true that Soundwave's voice is Dr. Claw's voice, aka Krulos's voice, aka Dai Gui's voice? i'm trying to figure out what Soundwave's voice would sound like as Dr. Claw. So far I got this clip on Youtube which doesn't help. YouTube - Transformers - Excellent, Ravage!
Lol, I just watched this episode tonight and wondered if that's how it'll sound in the movie. It reminded me of some character from Dino Riders, which I think it is.
i lol every time i see that scene. let's push for a scene in movie 3 with someone ripping a floppy disk in half.
i instantly thought of dr claw when i heard him speak. he sounds exactly like this: YouTube - "All That Glitters" Clip (Dr. Claw Gets Told Off)
Soundwave's voice was always Dr. Claw, spoken in monotone and vocodered over. The vocoder is what made it the Soundwave we remember. Watch the Robotchicken sketch with Soundwave. All Dr. Claw, all the time.
I personally thought it was a touch deeper, and there was a metallic ring to it that had been added in post production. It did fit, after a fashion. Not the Soundwave we are used to, but he is a Soundwave all the same.
Sounds fine to me, I'll have to wait until I see it to see if it fits well, which I've heard by many it does, and to me.
You just answered your own question. Soundwave is just Dr. Claw without the Vocoder. Think of that Giant Sand Tiger Head from the movie Aladdin, or Darkseid from the Superfriends show..
it works perfectly well for him, no vocoders on any characters this film (and the voice acting sounds better as a result, for example you can actually hear hugo weaving's and Charlie Adler's megatron and starscream voices clearly.
Are you saying that no one's voice has been processed? I find that hard to believe considering they processed Hugo Weaving's voice in the first movie to the point of nonrecognition.
