Had to go with Shockwave. The more Decepticon command characters there are, the greater the odds of more interaction, infighting, backstabbing, and all the fun stuff we love seeing the upper ranks of the 'cons doing.

And maybe some actual conversations. That would be great. I hope the spoilered stuff from the novel is at least somewhat akin to what we see in terms of that.

Grimlock's my top choice (along with the rest of the Dinobots, but Grimlock most of all).
I'd like to see Ultra Magnus (with a characterization more like Animated than G1) and Hot Rod as young prodigy. Magnus could still be a car carrier, and the carrier could separate, flying around as small drones that attach to him and become his armor, City Commander-style. I'd love to see Hot Rod as a...hot rod.
Sunstreaker, to go with Sideswipe. He could be the new sportscar of choice that's being planned by then.

Shockwave would be great; no idea for an alt mode though. The rest of the Seekers to tag along with Starscream. Nemesis Prime would be interesting.

If Devastator's back, then Omega Supreme or Metroplex (maybe as an aircraft carrier?) would be nifty to go head-to-head.

 

I went with my main guy - Ultra Magnus.... j/k of course GRIMLOCK!!! And either as a T-rex or a bad ass tank.

 

Meh Tanks have been done already in the Movieverse, Megatron and Brawl getting the treatment. I never was much of a fan of Grimlock. Unicron would be pretty fun...

Personally, I'd say that Unicron is a shoo-in for TF3.

Why, well who tainted The Fallen? Megatron became evil and founded the Decepticons because of The Fallen's influence. Well, The Fallen was one of the original 13 Transformers born from Primus. Its own name, The Fallen, implies that it fell from grace. It was tainted by the Devil, Satan, Lucifer, The Chaos Bringer, Unicron. All evil in Transformers originated from Unicron. It will lead to Unicron.

If the TF Movie Trilogy is successful enough, then I think we will get a second one (TF 4,5,6). Pimus vs. Unicron is the end-all, final battle, so if we get that, it would probably at the end of TF 6. Till all are One - Till all Transformers become One[Primus reunified].

 

I want to see a movie universe Galvatron. But as a Decepticon general, not a Megatron upgrade.

 

One that kicks Megatron while he's down and shows us just how weak Megatron really is. Maybe Galvatron kills Megatron so it's kinds like both, but not.

 

Definitely triple-changers, specifically Blitzwing & Astrotrain. In ROTF, we get to see something we didn't get to see in TF1, which is combiner. That's why Devastator is so awesome, and really command most of the attention in the trailers. I want triple-changers to be like that in TF3, and make the GA to be amazed by Transformers who have three different modes. And I also want to see them because I always love triple-changers in G1.

Predaking would probably be the best movie character of all. He's badass in G1, and looking at the other beasts in the Movies, Scorp & Ravage, he'd be even more badass.
