I just received a SCM EX GM. This little figure is fantastic. I can't put it down. Anyone have the SCM EX Zaku? How is it? I love the zaku II design and if its figure is as good as the GM I'll have to buy a few.
The Zaku II is the best one actually (IMHO). All four of the SCM EX figures are homeruns !! A few pages back I posted a link to some awesome Zaku II and Gouf SCM EX pics. Simply amazing figures.
You guys are so lucky owning the SCM EX figures. Speaking of them, whats the difference between them and the normal HCM? Also, random question, how is the MSIA Gaza C?
I talking about the difference between a SCM EX figure and an HCM Pro? If so, SCM EX figures are prize figures meaning that you win that at prizes in arcades (crane games mostly). The figures are close to 1/144 scale, and are extremely poseable. They are made by Banapestro. They only made six models of SCM EX : Gundam Zeta, Hyaku Shiki, RX-78, GM, Zaku II, and Gouf. There are however many repaints, especially of the Zaku II. Here are excellent pics of the RX-78, and one of the Zaku II repaints : ƒoƒ“ƒvƒŒƒXƒg ‹@“®íŽmƒKƒ“ƒ_ƒ€ s.c.m.Ex`ƒKƒ“ƒ_ƒ€•ƒUƒN` Here is the GM, and the RX-78 Prototype (both are lighter than the rest, so easy to win in a crane game) : http://www.geocities.jp/hetare_d_max/gallery-SCM_Ex_G3_GM.html Here is the Gouf and the original Zaku II: http://www.geocities.jp/hetare_d_max/gallery-SCM_Ex_MS06_07.html Gundam Zeta (which I can not find anywhere...) : http://www.geocities.jp/hetare_d_max/gallery-SCM_Ex_Z2nd.html HCM Pros are made by Bandai, and are 1/200 scale. They are retail items, and usually enterly ABS plastic. For example here is a HCM Pro Gouf : http://www.geocities.jp/hetare_d_max/gallery-HCMpro_Gouf_Custom.html
Those SCM figures look great but they are too stylized for me and I've spent too much $$$ on the MSIA line! LOL! The MG Gouf version 2.0 has finally reached my country but it was a retail store. I'm going to pick mine up at a hobby store so I can save a few $$$. Too much stuff to buy!
Wow, I must have good Karma, I just found a SCM EX Zeta Gundam in a tiny little shop in Akihabara. I knew the guy's store sometimes had game prize figures so I checked it out just for the heck of it. Bingo. He is a little bit loose (and he is not the huge Mega Launcher version), but awesome none the less. Tons of posability, and I love the style.
Hey everyone, I don't normaly post in this thread. I'm wondering if you guys can help me out, I'm looking for a junked PG strike gundam arm set. I'd like them to be intact. If anyone could help I'd very appreciative. Thanks much all, and your gundams look awesome!
^^^This is kind of in regards to your post. I just found out after like 10 years of making Gundams that that little box in the front of the instruction booklet is so you can reorder broken parts. But only in Japan. :/
You can place orders for replacement gundam parts through Hobby Link Japan. HLJ Help Page / Frequently-Asked Questions
Yea, I know that I can order parts through hlj. But they don't know how long it'll take, or when I'll get my parts, plus I have to order whole runners, ad there's not telling how much that would cost me.. I'm kind hoping that someone was, uhm... Carless. And set the model near an edge and it swan dived.... He he .... Yyeeaa... If anyone had any accidents though, again, please let me know.
So i've kinda fallen out of the loop on Gundam (haven't even finished 00) but I think i've fallen in love with the Odaiba Gundam and i never really cared for the RX-78 design before either. Does anyone know if they're making any 30th anniversary kits besides this one? Something bigger maybe? 1/144 HG RX-78-2 Gundam Ver. G30th Oh and I made myself a wallpaper and figured i'd share if any of you want to steal it.
Not that I know of dude. In fact, the RX version 2.0 was just released late last year! The real type colours will be out either in late June or July.
I was looking through some MG G Gundam models, and I have a question: Why is there a skeleton-like structure in the model? And do you have to build it?
All of the MGs have that skeleton model, and technically you don't, it comes together as your putting the kit itself together You mean something like this, right?
Yeah that's a shame. I normally don't like the whole overabundance of warnings some Gundams do (like the Unicorn) but now i'm really interested in it. Which means the 2.0 isnt gonna cut it for me. Trying to decide currently between: 1/144 HG RX-78-2 Gundam Ver. G30th 1/100 MG RX-78-2 Gundam Ver. One Year War 0079 Animation Color 1/144 Super HCM Pro RX-78-2 Gundam 1/100 RX-78-2 Gundam Ver. Ka
Like I said: it comes together as your building the kit. That's what it looks like when you have the outer frame removed.
