Has anyone considered that there may not be a combined robot mode, but rather a combined VEHICLE mode? Three bikes tied together with weapons sticking out?

That's where my money lies.

I don't think you can do that because chromia and arcee have connect ports...ther eis nothing that connects them to each other...isnt that right?

 

Seems like they combine only to triple their firepower instead of forming a humanoidish gestalt.

 

I will get the three bikes mainly because I'm a fan of the female bots but i still prefer my energon repaint arcee's to use in my display


I even painted arcee a darker pink to bring her closer to the movie version

 

Interesting updated theory. Looks a bit like the way the primary members of Landfill / Build King connect.

2? I know I'm misssing superlink arcee (ariel)...but who is the other one? (I assume u noticed flareup was there in her baggie in motorcycle mode)...and actually should be getting a loose flareup soon to add her to the bot mode gals

 

The whole truth

At Botcon during the Hasbro panel they said that the purple bike will be a redeco. I asked at the Hasbro booth and they told me that it will be Chromia that'll redecoed. I was also told exactly how they would unite... and unfortunately it's not all that exciting. They do connect how the picture on the third page suggests. There is no gestalt mode for the toys. The three bikes just stand back to back to back. Apparently they were going to unite in the film, but as stated in the Hasbro panel they're almost completely certain that it was taken out, because it just didn't look cool at all; sad news. The one upshot though is that the toys will be able to stand on their respective wheels without their crazy gun stands.

 

I picked up Chromia today I like the motorcycle form I haven't transformed her to robot mode most likely won't untill I have the other two figures.

 

I'm a bit dubious about that being the complete truth. But if it is, I have to say I'll be sorely disappointed.

 

Even if there's no official gestalt mode, fanmodes can still prevail!

wow seeing it with that visual representation.....she sure does look odd......I wonder if they could have it do all over if they would have changed arcee's concept.....
