Hasbro actually said it was the names they didn't want to jump factions anymore (we all remember a boat named Mirage). So Cybertron Repugnus was originally conceived as a Decepticon, but they realized his original source of his name was an autobot.
I think I might repaint Gears' alt mode. I like his robot colors, but there's too much of a discrepancy between them.
I really like the SideSwipe mold as Swerve in red. I'm buying one. I am also going to paint SidSwipe blue and call him...hum? I know! Tracks! The rehash mold for Gears is not bad, but the paint scheme could use work. I will by two and repaint one as the G1 Swerve and the other in G1 Gears colors. They both originally had the same mold. I am sure one the 'Radicons' are already working on this.
I'm not feeling the Stockade mold as Gears. Especially with that paint scheme. I think it'd work much better as Brawn, personally.
heres an idea why dosen't sum1 swap sideswipe ansd swerves head and paint sideswipes black! and attach sideswipes head onto swerves body!
Swerve looks so much better red, not because it's how Sideswipe "should" look but because the altmode pops so much more in red. Plus the detail in bot mode is highlighted so much better here than n 'Swipes's Grey on Grey on Silver (i.e. Metallic Grey) deco. The car's hot, the bot's one of the best movie designs, what's not to like???
I'll probably buy the sideswipe redeco--def the best in the ROTF line thus far (delux). Sideways is a huge disappointment, with his spindly little feet and awful red belly. And don't get me started on Mudtracks or Skidmarks...what was Bay thinking? You cast Shia; there's no need for more comic relief. ******ed transformers? Now that's just silly.
