Keep in mind that these cups aren't the plastic, lenticular ones, though. Both of the cups in this picture are paper.
Since my 7-11 guy has a crush on my mom he gives me all the cups in every set they get. i have all the marvel, halo, superman, terminator and all that good stuff. he also gives me the standees. do you know if there was a standee. ooooo im soooooo excited!!!
So, are these cups dish washer safe? Anybody know? I'm assuming yes since they're "collector's items" but just want to know for sure.
Last night I picked up a lenticular Prime cup with a Prime straw. I didn't see any Fallen lenticular cups. Man, was I looking for that one. I'll have to go back and get the rest later today
I picked them up yesterday in Virginia Beach at my local 7-11. Their legs are kinda bent up, so when you take them off the straws, they have a hard time standing. Need to take a hair dryer to them to soften their legs up, then pose them so that they will be sturdier. Next, "Flash Freeze" them with cold water. It works! I don't need to do anything to Bumblebee, he's fine.
I made another trip to 7-Eleven today to get the last of the lenticular cups that I needed, and I found another treasure: the severed head of Optimus Prime. Yes, for only $3.49, you too can own a 28 oz. replica of the Autobot leader's noggin. Fill it up with the Slurpee flavor of your choice, kick back, and pretend that you're Megatron, sipping sweet energon from the cranial chamber of your fallen foe. By the way, looking through the stacks of lenticular cups at my 7-Eleven, it seems as though there are just the four available: Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron, and Ravage. No Fallen cup. So that gives us the four lenticular cups, the kids' cup, the Prime head, the two (?) paper cups, and the four straws (Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron, and the Fallen) at 7-Eleven.
I found that his "neck" fits fairly well in the palm of your hand. That's probably the most comfortable way to drink from it. A word of warning, though. You'll notice the seam along Prime's helmet. The top of his head pops off for easy cleaning, but it's not the tightest of seals. If you fill the whole head up with Slurpee, expect to have a bit dripping out the sides. The seam does give you the opportunity to fill the head with Jell-O and pull off a sweet Temple of Doom-style "chilled trukk not munky brains" gag on your friends, though, so it sorta balances out.
I've been having Slurpees every day this week to get these cups. I think I can go one more day for that Prime head cup. Assuming I can find it of course.
Ahhhh yes, the Trukk Head cup...I got this one this morning, and I made the same mistake-- I filled it up too much with Munkey Icee and melted banana goo came dribbling out the sides and all over my hand. I was holding it much like Hamlet with a coconut cocktail, so the effect was funny, if sticky. They only had the Fallen and Megatron straws at my closest 7-11, and plenty of the lenticular cups. Question: Are the character straws extra $$$, when you buy the slurpee? I haven't gotten any yet, but I look forward to drinking more Yellow Icee, hopefully with a Bumblebee straw and cup, for a thematic day out at 7-11.
