i can't decide what to do...i own premium leader megatron, but i kinda want ROTF tank leader megs...but i can't decide if i like him enough to sell premium megatron...so, what do you think? sell premium? i only want one megatron from the movie line, i just can't make up my mind. Leader prime is completely blown outta the water by the new one, but megatron just doesn't have that same awesomeness going for him...
I'd keep the Premium for now and wait for the third movie Megatron's Leader class toy to improve on his current design (if he survives the second movie). I think the new Leader Megatron toy looks fairly average.
I'd wait and see if a Premium RotF Megatron comes out, do one last comparison, and see what you think. Between the two, I prefer the first film's Premium Leader...but it's always possible Hasbro could do some tinkering and throw out another Premium that at least improves on the paint job. I'll end up owning both. I don't mind that I'll have two Megatrons; if I really needed a rationalization I could just call him Movie Galvatron or something like that.
Keep both so that you'll the 2 different alt modes.... until Hasbro comes out with a triple-changer Movie Megatron.
If it was the normal grey and blue leader Megatron I'd say go for it. But the premium Megs is just too nice, I wouldn't part with him.
I hear you on your dilemma. Before I knew bout ROTF Megatron I was looking to find Premium Megatron at a good price. I was pretty committed. I never really found the price I was looking for. But now I like ROTF Megatron much better in his new robot mode muche better than Premium Megs. I don't think I'll get Premium Megs now, but I also think I'll wait for Premium ROTF Megs. So if I were you I would wait for a year, then you might just keep the 2008 and buy the 2010 Premium.
Im in the same boat, and im 100% keeping Premium megs. To be honest, the both suck. For the price, they aren't very posable robots. Tank mode is pretty awesome, but face it.. how often are you going to display it in tank mode. Keep the premium. You won't get much for him if you sell him anyways.
Keep the Premium. I envy you for getting it while you could. Wish I had. Heck, I wish I had gotten Premium Prime just for his sword, and now ROTF Prime has NO gun of any kind. Could have had both... So, yeah. Keep your Premium, and do what you think is right regarding ROTF Megs. I personally am waiting for Premium, but that's just me.
If you really can only have one, keep the Premium. I wish I had waited for him in 2007 (not that I regret Leader Megatron from TF1; he was my first TF in years!). If I were you I would wait for TF3 Megatron and think about it then. I am having RotF Megatron personally, but I would buy almost any Megatron or Starscream.
thanks guys...i'm keeping premium for now, and will probably buy the tank one too, then compare them hand in hand...but prime and starscream are going to the comic store this weekend to get me some instore credit...
Just wondering can someone please post a pic of rotf megatron looking to the side in a cool action pose? I just want to see how far he can move his neck from side to side and if it results in a decent looking to the side pose and pointing his big claw arm if you know what I mean...Also in robot mode, is it possible to lift those two panels on his shoulders to allow him to have much better articulation at the neck? Reason for my asking is because I realized in tank mode those two panels are raised and was wondering if its possible in robot mode... If so, does he look weird?
