This was an easy but fun custom. Black krylon base coat, dry brushed silver then aluminum, and then sprayed a clear coat. Next up are 3 Transformers customs. Maybe I'll have one or two done tomorrow.

It looks a lot nicer than the plain grey factory job.

    I vote for a Terminator X-over too.

And yes, this does look a million times better than whats sitting on the store shelves right now :thumb

I just don't think they mesh well together. Honestly, I don't think a lot of things mesh well with the Transformers Universe and vice versa. It would have to be done extremely well before I'd like it. I'd rather see it just never touched as for it to be done horribly.

Personally, I'm just not that interested in seeing it happen. Sometimes I like things together; sometimes I enjoy them separate. This would be such a case.

To me, the only way a Terminator Transformers is if it's like the Vulture droid in Star Wars where it has a ship mode and a walk mode but not like Hunter Killer transforming into a T800. That's why I don't like the Star Wars Transformers. Ship transforming into Obi Wan just looks bad.

Gotcha. You might should have clarified that to begin with :poke

Anyways, I really hope you do this well!

Back on topic . . . I have to say that I'm not overly impressed with much of Playmates Terminator toys, though they're better than the T2 turnout from Kenner many years ago. The 3/4" figures look good though.

I really think you did well with these figures. When I saw them in the store, I thought the same thing. Now you just need to time displace them to my room. :thumb

Agreed, the 3 3/4 figures are decent looking, but the next size up from those are crap,I really dig the 12 inch figures though and of course the Hunter Killer.

The figure that cracks me up is the John Conner figure. You don't even see his face. Just a bandanna over his face.

Likeness rights,if the figure doesn't look like Christian Bale then they don't have to pay him money, which means more money in Playmates pocket.
