Has the look but not the build, but I guess they have plenty of time to pump him up.

    Looks like a good choice.

Just so inconceivably glad it wasn't HHH.

So we're getting a young Thor. I guess it could work. At HHH didn't get picked.

    Thats so creepy!
literally five minutes ago my mother started telling me how this guy from home and away was in start trek an for me to guess who and when i realised it we were like ohh he was good in his five minutes of star trek then i come here an bam his name pops up

he looks good, he used to be real buff in home and away, he was bit chunky in star trek so get to the weights chris

Chris Hemsworth really needs to bulk up for this role. While I dont agree that HHH is a good choice for Thor his build defiantly is.

Papa Kirk? At least we know he's good for heroic sacrifices.

He does look awefully young. Should be interesting to have a younger Thor.

And ya, he def needs to start hitting the gym...if he starts right now, he should be in shape just in time for the movie. :p

After seeing his performance, I officially cast my vote for Chris Pine to play Capt. America. I've decided it even before this announcement.

That's not a bad idea at all. I'm glad that the Thor role didn't go to Triple H, but I'm equally confused why they didn't go with an actor with a larger physique.

I like this idea. Yeah at first glance he looks like not such a good choice but when you think about he's a great pick. I could definitely imagine him with the helmet, long hair, hammer, and cape. I mean when I first saw Christian Bale and Edward Norton I was hesitant.

Interesting choice, I'm always glad when Hollywood casts an "unknown" instead of a well established actor or "name", it makes it easier for me to believe them in the role instead of oh so and so is attempting to be Thor.
