It ended

 

I grew up with Armada, I was about 7-8 when it first showed, was my first TF experience. I was captivated. Transforming robots that turned into cars! I first got Scavenger, and a couple others, like Red Alert. The mini-con's were a great gimmick, you could take them anywhere and have some fun with them. I can't say much for story, because I didn't understand the concept of story, but it made me watch the whole season haha. Smokescreen dying made me cry, like OMFG he got shot and was liked melting in Primes arms   Screamer was pretty cool, I have his toy, and had some bad-ass guns  

 

The only 2 things I liked about Armada were the Prime/Megatron fight in "Mortal Combat", which was well done and pretty brutal for the show, and Starscream's death iin "Cramp". It was just so badass. It was an extreme version of his death in the '86 movie.

 

The last 5-7 episodes.

 

I liked Starscream's design.

 

That its ridiculous toy design and miserable animation broke my interest in transformers and collecting toys. The initial IDW comic run brought me back, but I still havent bought or collected any toys since armada.

 

Armada was also my first TF experience, so I enjoyed the first half more than others, though, looking back, I realize that it wasn't too great. However, I currently feel that the second half of Armada is one of the best of all the continuties I've seen. I'd tie it with G1, actually. I really enjoyed Unicron, his foreshadowing throughout the series, Starscream, Wheeljack, Jetfire, and Sideways. The kids were a bit annoying but better than others. However, if there was one thing I thought the series nailed, it was the relationship between Prime and Megatron. The second half really emphasizes their grudging respect for one another and their battles have brought them to depend on one another. The voice acting helped make this even btter.

 

Yeah the minicons and finally a Unicron toy!

 

What the hell was so odd about it? They were friends, nothing more or less as far as I remember, fan interpretation aside.

 

The fact that they showed a glimpse of Nemesis Prime.

 

Cartoon:
Starscream - the poor man's Dinobot, but still a very good character.
Sideways - YEAH.
Rebellion - excelletn Decepticon-focused episode
The Past - one of the few Transformers episodes to show somebody suffering from post-traumatic stress syndrome

Tidal Wave is one of my favourite TF designs.
