Its getting people late at night is the problem. Luckly I know 3 kickass raiders that view my undergeared Shaman (im finally over item lvl 200 on my gear) as a good luck charm. If I wasnt working tonight I have a open invite to Uldur raid either as a healer or ranged dps.

I hate working weekends  

 

leveled up to 66 this weekend.. two levels from where I was... getting closer to getting to northrend

 

This coming week we should be hitting up the General.

and how functional is your player when in that mode?

 

They are in costume part of Noblegarden (world event, equivalent to Easter), you can't fight as a rabbit, so once attacked, they go back to normal

Yeap, got enuf Wands to hit up the entire raid as Bunnys after defeating Freya. And there is no UI showing cause I Alt+Z.

How compatible are the add-on UIs with... (How to state politically correctly...) "non-Blizzard hosted servers"?

 

I wouldn't play on those servers if I was you. You are just inviting trouble not only from Blizzard since you are violating the EULA, but from hackers who can steal your account info.

 

It is a rule of thumb that 1 out of 3 addons, downloaded on typical sights will contain a keylogger. I would encurage not playing on a private server, a good way to get your account closed, when to try to get back to a normal server.

Any add on is allowed as long as the addon or mod does not remove you from the keyboard. IE, plays the game for you.

Got my Noble Garden tonight! It was rediculous finding some of those women. I spent most of the day hunting the various horde females down, but now I am Thebaron the Noble.

Thank you both for the words of caution, and I wouldn't think to play on one that I didn't personally know 1) the hoster, 2) what he set up on the server and how, and 3) the other people playing.  

I haven't played online after my free trial ran out, I just have a hard time swallowing that I have to buy the game and still pay a monthly fee for a game...  

 

One thing to note is that Blizzard actively seeks out private servers, and sues the onwer, for breaking the licensing agreements. It may seem like they are slow to respond to those that do it, but thier lawyers like to get as much dirt as they can before slapping a lawsuit.

I certianly understand the cost factor, infact it took me years to figure out if paying a monthly subsciption fee was really worth it.

when you break it down, it comes out to about 50 cents a day, which you would spend more on a cup of coffee, now a days, or a can of coke.

the other thing to remember is that you don't necessarily have to have all the expansions just to play. you can get the original version, for the first 60 levels, i think for 25 ish dollars, and that comes with one month paid.

There really isn't a reason to have BC unless you want to start with a Draenie or a Blood elf to begin with, but most of the classes are available to either side, except shaman (draenie only class). Or if you want to be a Deathknight, which you would still need atleast one lvl 55 to unlock with Wrath.


It probably sounds like I am trying to sell you on the game, I don't want to come across that way, just some positive points, in the end it is really your decission, and given the current economy, chosing not to spend 15 dollars a month can mean the difference in a monthly budget.

 

I've never seen the point in private servers, it completely defeats the point of playing the game.

The monthly cost is miminal imo, plus since its like crack you tend not to buy other distractions so you end up saving money. The only off putting difficulty with WOW is that to get a nice sum of gold it takes a little time if you're completely new to the game with no friends who play it and people generally just want everything straight away.

I haven't played in so long and to be honest I don't miss it, but realise how hooked I was on it  

 

Not really, that was just before a Naxx25 raid. Top Left is Player Image-Target of Player-Target of Target. Bottom above my Action bar is just Focus with Focus Target. Left is Xperl Raid Frames. I might be DPS and don't need the entire 25 man showing, but having dumbass tanks with just a party window saying people are dieing and such and making them shut up cause they are mental saves time. I do love my SexyMap in the Top Right though, all Addon images on the map besides Outfitter go bye-bye without a Cursor on it. Oh, and it spins to.

So, how far is everyone in Ulduar? My guild has only downed razorscale on 10 man, we'd be better but we have so many undergeared people as of late. So all we do is farm flame leviathan on 25 man, then go to naxx to get people geared up. It's ridiculous.
