Anyone else watching this series? I've enjoyed the first few eps. Lots of potential for stories and building echo's personality.
It's still stuck in the typical first season setup. There's a lot of potential for this series, assuming Fox keeps it around, which I think is doubtful.
I watched the ep this past Friday night. First one I've caught. Seemed good enough. I would watch it just for Eliza.
I'm enjoying it very much. However, since it's on FOX, I'm trying not to get too attached. Honestly, I'm surprised it hasn't been cancaled already.
Same here, especially considering it was on life support before the pilot episode was even completed.
That ep on Friday had a little more of the Whedon-style humor going on. Probably because Tim Minear (a Whedon vet) was writing. Almost all of the other eps so far didn't have much to laugh about. Overall, good concept, meh execution. Still has potential to be different than other shows, which is a good thing.
Another good ep. Love how Echo just wanted to finish the job at the end. I so knew a few weeks ago that the neighbor was a doll. I hope they don't accelerate the traitor within to fast. I don't think it's Echo's handler...
I've missed the last 2 eps. I need to start setting my recorder. I have enjoyed what I have seen so far. This show has some potential if FOX doesn't cancel it.
Same here. Back during the first episode, I thought, "it would be just like Joss to make Mellie a sleeper" and as soon as I saw the spycam footage from Ballard's apartment, I knew that's exactly what she was. I think the undercover agent is that head geek guy's assistant. This was the first episode of Dollhouse that I really, really liked (despite the interview footage and that guy who used to be on E!). Hopefully now we're done with the setup and this show can finally get moving.
I wonder if there's some connection between Echo and DeWitt? DeWitt sure seems interested in her. Could they secretly be mother and daughter?
I was hoping Echo was going to make a mad dash for it at the end and was WTF...when she just fell over.
Tonight's episode was fan friggen tastic. but damn the Dollhouse need to fire whoever is in charge of their personnel department. One Handler is a rapist on head of security is secretly working for the NSA trying to take the company over and one head of the house is covertly hiring a doll for her own deviant purposes. That is a pretty bad job screening process they've got going on there.
Not quite. The original agreement with Fox was for the production of 13 original episodes. Fox is including the original, unused pilot (which, according to Tim Minnear, they "scrapped for parts) in this 13 episode order, while Joss and co. did not, thus creating a 14th episode. This episode will be included in the season one box set. But aside from that, I do expect Fox to cancel the show shortly after the season finale, if not sooner. It never stood a chance. I'm really surprised at who the traitor turned out to be. I really didn't see that coming. I was also really surprised that Mellie revealed her secret to Ballard. I really thought they'd string that along for a little longer.
