Well, basics went up from $10 to $13. Other things went up as well. So, it's easy to believe.

I like the colour layout, just wish it wasn't so glossy. The matte finish on the original is nice.

Also wish the photos had better lighting.

Wait, what? Basics were $10?! Damn....I missed that totally. Last time I saw Basic prices, they were $6-$8.

Basics don't exist anymore. Activators are currently in the $7-8 and Movie Scouts will probably follow suit. DELUXES went up from $10 to $13, but have been dropping at various stores due to spring sales.

Always a good idea to take pictures of toys when they are in SHADOWS....sigh. Still not able to see a good comparison between the two now..although I think I prefer the original altmode colorwise.

Doubt I'd pick it up though. I have Titanium Rodimus, he's pretty cool but not something I'd buy again.

To bad it's like the worst Titanium ever, it's the only TF mold I've ever thrown in the garbage it was so terrible.

Primal's tips to Hasblow on making "better" titaniums:

1/ make it in plastic. Not metal. Leave the metal bots to Takara. They know what they are doing. you, obviously, do not.

2/ This should then take down the price and make the bots tighter and easier to pose, as the heavy metal parts used usually make the figs all "pinochio", like a puppet without strings.

Hope this helps you all there at Hasblow.

    1. Hasbro's usual Transformers designers didn't create these - another department did.

    2. I'm sure Hasbro knows how to design and budget for their toys. Its easy to say "do this, do that, do the other and make sure to keep it all for a low low price" without knowing the costs that go into making them. Producing toys tighter and easier to pose may well in fact have driven the retail cost up.

    3. Hasbro aren't making any more Titaniums; only repainting existing ones.

    You forgot:

    4. It's Hasbro, not Hasblow. ;)
