Awesome to have more Animated, though I think they should've started with Ironhide, and let Ratchet be the repaint. The previous image of this toy wasn't terribly promising, but this is looking good. I see they have a port for his EMP generator. Be nice if they had a new version for the figure, because I don't want to have to steal Lockdown's engine again. Biggest problem I have is that the windshield doesn't fold into a cropped v shape, like in the show model. I don't know how that could have worked though, so it'll do. There are better animated figures, but this's definitely a must buy.
My theory on Black Arachnia is boys don't want her, cause she's a femmebot, and girls don't want her, cause she's a spider. And she is a serious shelfwarmer. It's not just a case of her being the least interesting figure in that wave. Wave after wave has since come and gone and left nothing behind. And she's still there. They couldn't even shift her in the sales. Pity, because in my opinion it's the best femmebot mold ever.
I believe the War Wound is included so this figure, like Lockdown and Earth Ratchet, can wield the EMP.
i think it looks good, if abit miss transformed. plus the new head is nice even if we dont get a Ironhide repaint i will get him and call him Ironhide, kinda like how i call cybertron mode prime Ginri.
Hmmm... Interesting... To me, It looks kinda like a fast-action battler... Maybe this mould would suit Ironhide's paintjob more than it does Ratchet's? What about that shocking face? What the hell?

Yay for right-side up pictures! I don't have an Animated Ratchet, so I might hold out for this guy. Lets see a vehicle mode now, also right-side up.

This, it looks like a cool enough mold on its own to warrant a purchase, regardless of which character it is.
Looks good, though a bit misstransformed, and... OMG, WTF HAPPENED TO HIS FACE!!! (sorry, had to get that out of my system). I'll be getting at least one of this mold, if not two or three. I really hope they repaint/retool this mold as Ironhide for mass retail (store exclusive if need be). It definitely looks like the shoulder pads rotate up, and the front treads either go more into his torso, or something else to hide better, and allow for more arm articulation. It's nice to see that this version will have his pre-wound head crest. The other war wound does make sense, as it'll allow him to use the EMP generator that all the Deluxe Lockdown's have had so far. Though it would be nice if this Ratchet came with his own copy of it. Can't wait to see more pictures of this guy, especially some properly posed alt-mode pictures.
im gonna get him and Ironhide, and most likely call this one Red Alert. Yes, i know, Red Alert is in the show, and is a girl, but unless they make her toy, he'll be his own Character-Animated Red Alert.
I wonder if this means we will be seeing a LOT more of Ratchet in flashbacks? I sure hope so. Those are some of my favorite sequences from the show.
