what the heck is fred meyer?

 

So animated and universe are unofficialy done now right?

 

It's almost like a Walmart with higher standards. Classics 1.0 hit first at Fred Meyer the first time they came out with the Bumblebee and Starscream wave and the first legends that came out were FM exclusives. It's also usually one of the most expensive places to buy TFs but they have monthly sales for 10 to 20% off

Apparently the Universe line will come back sometime after the ROTF Toyline wraps up. Though I can't say the same for Animated. In fact, I heard that Rhinox and Soundwave might be the next figures when Universe starts up again.

 

Hell yea, only took me one Fred Meyer and they had just put out a fresh case. My hunting is done for a while.

Edit: By the way, Hot Shot is terrible. Falls apart, the parts behind the arm on his back really get in the way. just really poorly designed figure.

 

It was old in freaking 2002.

 

QC issue or just design issue already covered by someone at the feedback forum ?

 

Probably a bit of both. My left arm doesn't seem to have much keeping it from falling off, and the paint is pretty damn sloppy. I haven't checked out the feedback forum on him (kind of an impulse purchase by me) but it probably covers the design issues that I have with it. He is just goofy IMO.

 

You should probably see a doctor about that...

 

Finally Hot Shot. My favorite figure as a child! I will grab this when i see it.
And then treasure it!

 

Hmmm. I didn't like having my original Hot shot as a JaAm obsesed ******, so he's a decent guy like the show. However, now that this Hot Shot, which I will be getting alongside Ratchet if possible, has JaAm obsession written in his bio, I'll have to make the new, 'better' one a ******.

This will be interesting 

 

Found them at the first FM I checked too. I agree Hot Shot sucks, he was total impulse for me since I haven't had a new mold for a while. Picked up both Ratchet I saw for 2 buddies, my Henkei version will be here by Tuesday if the delivery info is correct so I didn't need one for myself

i was just at a toys r us ealier and the only universe deluxes they had were dinobot and ol' meth kitty. cant wait for ratchet. after him my wallet can finally breathe a sigh of relief as i have no intention on buying any of the movie line toys.

 

Wow, this means I'm all but done with my collecting until Universe 3.0 starts up, and that's IF I can collect again at that point.
