I don't want to hear any bitching about the prices of the Botcon figures while there's people here preordering a single deluxe figure for 100 bucks.

not true. many american based banks allow you to upload any picture you want to your credit card.

There will be no complaints from me about that at least  . The way i see it the BotCon prices certainly aren't worse than for exclusives like this one and it all comes down to what one wants. Pretty much in my case I'm willing to pay a large amount of money for a Cyc repaint, but another exclusive might not be worth it to me while someone else wants it enough to pay those amounts of money so I think it all comes down to how much one wants a certain figure. I can admit that it gets frustrating with exclusives sometimes (and this is not meant as a complaint) but that's mostly because they sometimes gets very difficult to find, not the price itself. and sure I understand why it's not fun that for instance a BotCon exclusive costs a lot of money but at the same time it doesn't get any more "fun" or otherwise if it's a Japanese exclusive like this one so I don't quite get why some categories of exclusives gets more complained about than others. because complaing doesn't really help that much (even if a bit of complaining of course sometimes makes a person feel better about things)

not capitalone card lab, ive tried at least 10 different times to use transformer images and always gets turned down, you have to own the image and art they say.

 

ah perhaps you're right, they might hesitate on putting the name "transformers" on it. I told my bank (bank of america) that I did the artwork, now it's on my card.

 

These $100+ exclusives do seem to be happening more frequently now, but you're best bet is to buy them or pre-order them early as they do seem to hold their "value" quite well. What is Henkei! Wildrider commanding nowadays?

I'm excited about this figure so I can't wait to see the final outcome.

 

If you go to Capital One.com you can design your own credit card . You upload your own pics to it and can make them look alot better then the Japo ones.. I think a few other credit card companies do this now as well. As far as that Straif , no way would i pay 100$ for a deluxe figure, it would have to come with a bat so i could beat myself in the head to make me forget i paid 100$ for him lol

 

I know at least 6 people that have uploaded wallpaper images to capitol one and they worked fine. One was the Batman logo the rest were Autobot logo and spiderman and Wolverine wonder woman, and Smurfs.. I dunno why they would turn you down.

 

I'll wait to see the color scheme on this one. It's not a character from the show so I'm not frothing at the mouth.

I've got Strafe ordered, and am working on getting a Megs card to add to my Megs collection.

I'm a bit of a sucker for these exclusives, keep kicking myself for passing on Wildrider and Crystal Convoy when I could have got them for a (comparatively) reasonable price.

Well, the only reason it is $100 + $18 shipping is that he's scalping  them really bad. It only costs $36 USD to buy and once you get the CC there is no limit on how many you can purchase. That is a 200% markup And contrary to what people say on the boards, foreigners living in Japan who can read Japanese and work at Japanese companies can get credit cards.

I actually already own a Japanese Credit Card, so I am working on getting this. If not I have some good friends that said they'll do this for me. But once ordered I'll definitely sell them faaaar less than $118 .

 

Since I don’t really know much about what’s a reasonable markup price and what isn’t I feel I might risk saying something stupid here so I won’t argue in favor of anyone or argue against anyone on this topic  . But bought is bought and I’m happy with my purchase even if it’s expensive. Sadly enough for me I don’t live in Japan and can’t read Japanese so if I want these exclusives I have to buy them from someone and well, I don’t know many sellers who sell these figures so I tend to end up buying from those I’ve bought from before (not saying I’m not willing to take a look around to save the budget a bit, if possible)

And you know what, if I can just get enough money together I’m always interested in a second copy of this figure   after all far less than 118$ is always tempting
