I'm satisfied with how it looks in combined and vehicle modes, yes. If that's all that was in the movie, this would be one badass showcase toy that would be on the top of my list. But overall, I'm not totally satisfied, because for 100 bucks, I'd like to see individual robot modes.

The more I think about it, the more I really don't understand why this thing is $100. There has to be some mistake. Seriously, the investment in development can't be that large, and assembly would be far easier than most, I would think. The plastic can't be that expensive.

Are they just thinking they're going to make a massive amount of profit on this? The $100 pricetag I think is really going to push most parents away. Heck, the leader figures usually move slower to begin with, and they're half the price.

The colors also look like crap, but even if they were changed I think I'd only buy this on clearance.

Not happy with the prospect of having to buy a set of Constructicons and Devastator separate. To me part of the appeal of a combiner team is having a team of robots that combine into an even bigger robot. Movie Devs makes them completely different things. And to me, what Hasbro is delivering just does not seem to justify a $100 price point, it's ludicrous to think that that thing should cost me more than my Masterpiece Megatron did.

Clearance on this one or bust.

This MAY have already been covered, as I have not read the whole thread.

But I am very disappointed in this toy. Why? Because it is NOT a Transformer.

Yes, vehicles DO Transform. But they transform the very same way a Megazord does! Hasbro, this isn't Power Rangers. Though I will admit, your Devastator toy would make an awesome anti-power ranger megazord.

    Go Go Power Rangers!

It looks like an ill-tempered Go-Bot. And that's being nice.

I'm still working on why the heck Hasbro is introducing $100 toys in several of it's lines where there is such a feeling of economic doom and gloom in society. Transformers has the $100 Devastator. GI Joe has the $100 PIT. Star Wars has a $100 Turbo Tank.

That and all 3 should come in fairly large boxes when retailers are already complaining about how much space products take already.

Maybe they know something we don't, but it's sort of hard to think all these big ticket times are just going to go flying off the shelves this summer.

Was looking forward soooo much to this guy,I love the movie look of him from the picture from last week but,

Bottom line.............it's a Transformer that DOESN'T transform,no separate bot modes ,waste of money :(

To be fair when you compare this to The Pit, Turbo Tank, AT-TE its about the same level of plastic and development. I think the trouble is they wanted to do it at $100 price point, rather than going $150 like the Millenium Falcon or just doing 6 seprate bots that combined.

I think the only way this could have been done justice is to do the 6 bots indvidually and then they could combine. It would have been 4 voyeager and 2 leaders looking at the sizes so would have been $160 ish. Only problem is that a lot of work on 6 bots and I do`nt know if Hasbro would have been able to get it "right" in the time frame. I imagine they have had the 2 images of the normals bits for a while, but Dev was kept under wraps (just guessing here). I don`t even know if the other 4 have bot modes?

At this point, "sorta" suits me. I'll have to see the thing in person before I judge it completely.

This just Reinforces the fact that Hasbro dos not have the intelligence to create a fully functioning combiner. They have had more than 7 years to do it and the have failed again. Faith in Hasbro has dropped to an all time low.

That's not how it worked dude. They got presented the concept drawing like less than 2 years ago and had to make it work the best they could in toy form. The day they decide to make another non-movie combiner their way from scratch, it will be very different.

hey guys, today i did an experiment. I went shopping, went into a toy store and priced up some high quality plastic, painted and detailed construction vehicles at decent sizes. They come to about £5 each. With six of them, that comes to £30.

Is Hasbro telling us they put £70 worth of engineering, detailing, paint apps and 'electronic lights and sounds' into this toy?
